GIVE JOE HIS DUE - He deserves it

Not a bad keeper, never had a problem with him, always been a lot worse players in other positions to worry about than Murphy in goal. Do wish he'd catch the fucking ball instead of punching it sometimes though.

Carl Baker - tries hard but

Think he is consistently bad, but has the anamolous good performance. Some seem to think because he has the very occasional good game, amongst very many bad games, then that is evidence that he is a good player, whereas I would think the evidence would point to the opposite.

Carl Baker - tries hard but

The fact that in 130 or so games for us, there seem to be only one or two games that his admirers rattle on about proves a point in itself.

    mcgoldrick and sisu

If they'd signed Clingan on another contract i'd have been building a Sisu out coffin myself!

    Is that Stockport?

Carl Baker - tries hard but

Answered the question with facts. Try to give some good reasons based on the approx 130 appearances for Coventry why you think he is quality. You might struggle.

Carl Baker - tries hard but

About 112 leagues games, and around 5 goals for a supposedly attacking midfield player is pretty useless.. Probably around 5 decent performances in those games as well, which, in a sane world, would qualify somebody as useless.

Carl Baker - tries hard but

A totally useless player but some people still feel the need to laud him. Amazing!

    Last 10 games

Leaves us a bit short in midfield though. Though applaud the tactic of playing with 9 men from the start as it's always difficult to beat teams with less players.

Don't read if you don't want to talk about AT

I mean that when it was obvious that he was no good as a manager(fairly early on), an awful lot still kept supporting him, generally the same people who supported Sisu when it was obvious they were no good at running a football club(fairly early on), but became diametrically opposed to...

Don't read if you don't want to talk about AT

The board and most of the fans got what they wanted with Thorn, no point people trying to twist history. Bizarrely, the most anti-Sisu, were generally also the most pro-Thorn. I always blamed Sisu/the board for Thorn, but most on here shouldn't blame Sisu for doing what an awful lot of fans...

    Andy Thorn's Job Agency

Could be a wind-up, if it was genuine would expect to see something like: "The first 45 minutes against Bury has been generally accepted in the footballing world as one of the finest displays of total football ever seen, comparable to the great Ajax team of the Seventies. The comparisons don't...

    Andy Thorn's Job Agency

total accident, think googled Coleman and Henderson to see if anything there that would suggest that we were in any way likely to buy him from Sunderland apart from Ranson, and that came up a few pages in. Too good an opportunity to miss really.

    5 years of SISU

100 for each inaccuracy there I'd think. Could be expensive!

If SISU had Balls & Backbone.....It could of been -

We were, and results afterwards showed that, however it was Boothroyd who put his neck on the chopping block by insisting on signing him, so any downturn in results and performances after King have to be put onto him.

If SISU had Balls & Backbone.....It could of been -

We were never going to sign Carrol or Henderson, despite what Ray "debt-free, massive pay-rise every year, and wonga.com levels of interest paid on his loan" Ranson said.

    Andy Thorn's Job Agency

Think a madhouse(such as ourselves), the only ones that would give him a job as a manager.

    Andy Thorn's Job Agency

They were all "free" signings too apparently, and all sold on for a profit, including players that we only had on loan like Cork and Henderson!
