    Transfer Rumour Frank Onyeka

Has anyone seen Onyeka at Ryton or the CBS yet?

    Transfer Rumour Frank Onyeka

I still think we should sign him. The worst that happens is that he can't hop as quickly as he can run but we aren't buying him for his pace.

    Transfer Rumour Frank Onyeka

I would like to see Onyeka and Grimes playing together - perhaps in a pivot - in front of our CBs and filling the midfield gap that we often see. This will make it more difficult for opponents to mark Grimes out of the game, as we will have two players in that part of the pitch, and - if there...

    Transfer Rumour Frank Onyeka

It does seem to be expecting a lot for one player to turn our fortunes around and yet, in this instance, I am cautiously optimistic that he could. I say this because (a) I think it might herald a change in formation and in our excessively gung ho approach and (b) if Onyeka is the player we...

    What was your first game

I am, thank you. it's the first year of my retirement, so I'm enjoying getting used to that. I just need City to be promoted now!

    What was your first game

This was my first match, against Sunderland in the Fifth round of the F.A. Cup in March 1963, the month after my eighth birthday.

    Transfer Rumour Frank Onyeka

https://dailypost.ng/2026/02/01/transfer-coventry-city-reach-agreement-with-brentford-to-sign-onyeka-on-loan/ At last. Phew! I know the Brentford fans think he can't pass but I don't think that is the end of the world. He needs to keep reasonably close to Eccles or Grimes and just play a...

Who do we think we are?

I fall into the camp of those who are worried about what has happened to us in the past couple of months because (a) I love this club, which I have supported for 63 years, and - as I turn 71 in a couple of weeks - am fearful that, if we don't come up this season, I may never see them in the top...

    No PLAN B

Onyeka has certainly gone very quiet. I suspect we are not going to get him, although obviously it's possible. Any other signings might be surprise ones, like Markelo, of an almost unknown player from abroad.

    No PLAN B

I think it would be an improvement on what we are doing at the moment. We certainly need to play a little more conservatively because the current gung ho approach is failing.

    No PLAN B

I agree with most of what you say but I can’t see us buying Hamer or Burrows. We might get Onyeka, although he may not want to come if he has watched videos of our recent games.

    25/26 January Transfer Window

Frankly I’m flabbergasted that you can’t see it when it’s happening in front of our eyes.

    25/26 January Transfer Window

I would seriously doubt if he still wants to come after today. The attraction for him was probably the likelihood that we would be promoted but that’s gone now.

Match Thread Queens Park Rangers - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 31st Jan

The only good thing about today is that it has taken some of the pressure off me. In late November, when we were flying high, I started worrying that we would collapse in the same way that we did in 2015/16 under Mowbray. As our performances dipped, I became increasingly stressed. The stress...

Match Thread Queens Park Rangers - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 31st Jan

On this form I think that, in our next two home games, we will draw with Oxford and be well beaten by Middlesborough.
