I genuinely believe we’re only 3/4 players off being a top side in this division. Get a top end CB to shore up the defence, a midfielder who can drive the ball in midfield and a better LB and that sorts out a lot of our issues.

Harsh. The defence conceded the 5th or 6th least goals last season and when Robins first switched to 4-2-3-1 the defence looked like our strongest asset. Instinctually, this points to a fundamental tactical/instruction problem. I do not believe these players are bad.

In fairness, he was dropped due to a ‘freak accident’ and Collins didn’t do badly in the games he filled in. Burnley’s first goal looked like a great move at the first viewing. Replays showed that the ball went through Collins’ wrist. It’s just not good enough. It’s not Collins fault per se...

Which isn’t sustainable in the long run. You build from the back first and foremost, if you don’t concede, you cannot lose.

100% - we’ve conceded the first goal in 11 of our 17 games this season. Given the generic statistic of the first scoring team is most likely to win, it’s no surprise we are where we are in the league. To compound everything, in 9 games this season we’ve conceded 2 or more goals. It’s embarrassing.

Add tonight’s game to the list. Two avoidable goals and we’ve lost 2-0.

A stat my flatmate told me is that he’s not missed an open play goal since his last home game in September which is about 5-6 home games. Scott Parker will probably be good enough to get them up but isn’t good enough to keep them up imo.
