Seriously? The Council cannot reject a legitimate planning application. Because of that it is actually possible in theory to get a stadium built within Coventry. A stadium will never be built "In the Coventry area" because of the greenbelt. So its either Coventry or at least 10 miles ish...

They weren't based in the city at the time. Why didn't CCFC make an offer it the last 7 years?

Why don't the club buy a piece of land somewhere and build an exhibition centre on it? That would be a lot cheaper than building a new stadium and the team could continue to play at the Ricoh under a rent agreement. 365 days a year income they say is what's needed. So why build a stadium...

For the same reason Mr Fisher said they were worth nothing. Seller will big it up, buyer plays it down.

I was thinking the same. If a major venue such as the Ricoh can only generate £750k a year, what chance would some little tin shed in the sticks have of generating significant revenue? All serious events and exhibitions in the area will still be held at the Ricoh and nowhere else.

I think some people are a bit judging of Wasps owners based on our experience of hedge funds. In an ideal world I wouldn't have something like a hedge fund anywhere near a sports club. However, just because Sisu have been incompetent, that doesn't mean that Wasps owners would be. I am sure not...

Those are good points but surely no different to the situation we're in now? I.e. what happens if Sisu favour another investment over CCFC and divert funds there?
