Coventry Council WILL support a new stadium...

So you disagree with him where he says this?: “If we made a perverse planning decision, just because we didn’t like the owners, they would appeal and they would win. “The decision would be reversed and we would get a hefty fine. You can’t refuse applications on the basis of who is applying.”

New stadium - Okay, let's just suppose for a moment

I'm not sure that is the case. That would open up a whole lot of legal loopholes.

Apart from CCFC, what else do SISU currently "invest" in ? Is it like an ISA ?

I suppose it all depends on who is lending them the money. I would wager that, in terms of the balance sheets, it is CCFC that is paying for the court cases, not sisu.

New stadium - Okay, let's just suppose for a moment

I don't know. But again, that's not a satisfactory answer to what I was asking.

New stadium - Okay, let's just suppose for a moment

See this is why it doesn't make sense to me, and I have yet to see someone come up with a satisfactory answer. Why do we need to build a build football ground to host these things? Why not just build a conference centre somewhere? What is the point of spending £30m on a football stadium when...

Didn't they have something to do with Little Chef at one point?

Waggott: Our Stadium Planning is Vital

Actually a patriotic city would be pleased with the fact that within a few years they could have the biggest rugby club in the country playing in their city. The how's and whys of how they got there would be irrelevant. I can appreciate why as a CCFC fan you would want Wasps to fail, but that...

New stadium - Okay, let's just suppose for a moment

Wasps are a Rugby team, Ccfc are a football team. To compare their financial models doesn't work. The most successful sports team in this city doesn't own its venue.

New stadium - Okay, let's just suppose for a moment

Overall it costs less to build a big stadium than it does to build a small, and then expanded stadium.

    Coventry United

They are not the reason Ccfc are shite.

    Coventry United

Protest team to represent the city when Ccfc decided it didn't want to. We should be pleased for all Coventry teams to do well.

    Coventry United

Might be missing something here, but in what way are Cov United a franchise?

    Coventry United

An ambitious football club is good for the city.

New stadium - Okay, let's just suppose for a moment

I didn't say who's fault it was, just that the statement of "we had under 10k before wasps was mentioned" is wrong.

New stadium - Okay, let's just suppose for a moment

Stop digging a hole. You were wrong, accept it and move on.

New stadium - Okay, let's just suppose for a moment

So by "each week" you meant 2 games? Leeds average attendance is currently 23305. So your wrong.

New stadium - Okay, let's just suppose for a moment

No it isn't. First mention of Wasps was just after the Yeovil game. At that point we had just had gates of 27k and 11k. Not under 10k.
