Also, the lower part of block 13 is next to that large exit tunnel, so it would be impossible to get into the south stand from there anyway. Even if we accept their ridiculous argument, there is no reason not to open the lower part of the block

Pete if you get the chance please ask why they think a fence and 1500 city fans already in blocks 11 & 12 won’t stop migration into the south stand, but a picture of Jimmy Hill will?

Communication is appalling. The reasons need to be given for not opening 13. We as fans might have a solution to the problem if they were willing to tell what the actual problem is

    Nothing to fear

Also I think being away for the second leg helps. There is more riding on the second leg, which will make for a more nervous atmosphere amongst the home fans.

Well as was posted on here that Sunderland are having a 45k “sell out” in a 49k stadium, it demonstrates that it’s a problem only affecting lower divisions. As Sunderland’s record PL attendance was only about 300 below full capacity (so segregation must’ve been minuscule). Meaning that Premier...

The trouble I'm thinking of must've been a different game then. I remember them wearing that kit.

Does anyone remember trouble at Oggy's last game against Sheffield Wednesday? I was speaking to my Brother about it who I remember being there with, and he swears blind there wasn't any trouble. I think we were winning 4-1, and that relegated Wednesday, and some of their fans got tired of the...

I think I must've been a bit backwards when it come to football violence when I was a kid. I remember seeing it, and it having no influence on me whatsoever! I remember my Dad being upset at that Leeds game and I couldn't understand why!

Unrelated slightly, but I remember on Match of the Day that night them saying that a rumour went around Maine Road that we were losing 3-0 to Leeds, which the Man City players picked up on. Des Lynam reckoned there was a Cov fan in the crowd that started the rumour :ROFLMAO:

I'm thinking of a different one then. This was in the 90s. I think Wallace left City several years before I was born :ROFLMAO:

I was about the same age (10 I think), I remember it being a weird atmosphere of celebrating that quickly turned sour. I was in the East Stand and I remember a lot from around us running on.

The one I remember was when we stayed up on the last day. Some of our lot ran on the pitch at full time, the Leeds fans then joined them

I would say that is exactly the reason. The club haven't had to regularly deal with a full stadium for over 20 years. They probably don't have the first clue how to deal with it

It would’ve been impossible for most of them to see it due to the angle of it. It’s really hard to see anything going on in the same stand as you. A few will have seen it, got arsey about it, then herd mentality kicks in.

I doubt any Derby fans other than those closest to singers corner would've even seen that. You can see the ones towards block 6 trying to get across the netting here

I don't see how they can move over though. There will be people already in those seats, and there is a fence. If they can climb a fence, and barge through 1500 people, I don't see a picture of Jimmy Hill being much of an obstacle

Got to be honest, I'm struggling to see how this is getting blamed entirely on the home fans
