Match Thread Coventry City - Middlesbrough Match Thread - Monday 16th Feb

The Stoke game was particularly infuriating as the only man paying any attention to the game that could not see the player sent off was a walking second yellow was Mark Robins

    Season Ticket next year?

Well that is it isn't it - It feels like this teams journey has all led to and will culminate this season, it is just a matter of how they will be remembered Either end up being the heroes that got us to the Premier League or the bunch of players who squandered the biggest chance we have ever...

Match Thread Coventry City - Middlesbrough Match Thread - Monday 16th Feb

Clinging to the fact that The CBS seems to be to them what Deepdale is to us, last time they beat us at Highfield Rd/CBS was at the start of the Premier League relegation season - Although they did beat us at St Ands. in our first Championship season Then the pessimist in me thinks they are due...

    This Will Make You Laugh...

We lost 2-1 at their place Grim day, it absolutely lashed it down

    This Will Make You Laugh...

Jordan Maguire-Drew put in one of the worst performances I have ever seen from a pro footballer in the first half that day

    This Will Make You Laugh...

It was quoted as 28k - It was not that much in reality, we did a London Wasps that day and gave a lot away and a fair few did not bother coming

    It’s a shame it’s ended this way…

A heavy defeat at Blues tonight and I would be surprised if he even makes our game

    It’s a shame it’s ended this way…

I would bloody love to pip Ipswich to Top 2 mind you, the amount of their lot buzzing with that result last night as it has knocked us off the top is very weird considering it was an inconvenient result for them as well

FWIW I do think if Rothwell isn't a blithering idiot and doesn't go seizing into a needless tackle a proper grandstand finish is set up there last night

I can't see him rediscovering that form this season He is so clearly playing through a pain barrier with his shoulder, wouldn't surprise me if he actually needs surgery on it and the club did not want to risk losing him for as long as they would have done when he suffered the injury

Match Thread Coventry City - Middlesbrough Match Thread - Monday 16th Feb

Obviously nothing is going to be mathematically sorted and rubber stamped on Monday night, but in every other sense of the word it feels like a game that we simply have to win - For our confidence, for their confidence Middlesbrough are in a good moment akin to the one we were in between August...

    It’s a shame it’s ended this way…

I do vividly remember them having a major wobble and dropping out of the Top 2 as there was a lot of talk at the time of us potentially sneaking into 6th and playing them in the Play-Offs - One of those games they lost away at Plymouth and their fans booed them off as they thought they had blown...

    It’s a shame it’s ended this way…

In fairness, they dropped to 3rd as late as the end of March

Then it was a complete waste of time signing him He has a pedigree in the Premier League and in international tournaments, these are the type of games he was brought in for surely? He should have at least debuted off the bench on Saturday, I found it absolutely bizarre that he didn’t

    Championship thread 25/26!

If I’m clutching at straws, I’m indifferent to their result tonight You get the feeling we need a win next week, regardless of how they got on tonight to give us a real shot in the arm Let’s see anyway, I’m holding a glimmer of hope that dropping down to 2nd MIGHT just kick our arses into gear...

In what way? If we fail to win next week it is officially out of our hands Fail to win not only are we second, Ipswich are 5 or 6 points off with two games in hand

What was the sliding doors moment of the season

Late shout for Rob Edwards being a money chasing twat They would not be top now if he was still their manager, this manager is a cut above
