Not been a fan of his at all. Always see him as a bit of a luxury and a player who just auto pilots his way through games, but he was excellent today, so hats off to him.
Happy to be proved wrong and long may he play in the same vein.
Barton did play better than Thomas today, but first half, apart from Reda, Barton and Nouble, everyone was crap.
2nd half many players stepped up to the plate and Thomas was very much one of those, along with O'Brien.
Indeed and Conor Thomas no less, you recall him, the bloke who CAN'T tackle? Well he put 3 crunching tackles in today and very good tackles they were too.
Exactly.
If we knew it was going to be crap every week we wouldn't bother would we, but there is always that little spark of a chance that today is going to be our day.
Today that was exactly what we got.
Shame so many thousands missed it.
Nouble working hard, McQuoid is once again McVoid, Fleck poor, O'Brien poor, Thomas poor, back four, Reda aside, embarrassingly poor.
Think this will now end up 4 or 5-1
Feeling quite confident now.
Slightly concerned Reda and Nouble might have been thrown in a little too early.
Hopefully we will be well clear of Peterborough by the time the pair tire. ;-)
That's why I have said to play 5 in midfield. 1 in a slightly deeper role and 1 more as a box to box midfielder.
I know some would give it another title, but it's 4-5-1 to me, as I'm old school.;)
Clarke had many deficiencies in his game, but was a natural goal poacher.
Jackson for me doesn't have that same instinct, but I do think he is the only player in our squad who could bag 20 goals for us at the moment.
