Not been a fan of his at all. Always see him as a bit of a luxury and a player who just auto pilots his way through games, but he was excellent today, so hats off to him. Happy to be proved wrong and long may he play in the same vein.

Barton did play better than Thomas today, but first half, apart from Reda, Barton and Nouble, everyone was crap. 2nd half many players stepped up to the plate and Thomas was very much one of those, along with O'Brien.

Agree. The mentality changed 2nd half. We pressed higher up the pitch and increased our tempo too. First half we were too pedestrian yet again.

Only Barton and Reda have looked anything like half decent. We really do lack quality and our defence is truly, truly shocking.

Feeling quite confident now. Slightly concerned Reda and Nouble might have been thrown in a little too early. Hopefully we will be well clear of Peterborough by the time the pair tire. ;-)

That's why I have said to play 5 in midfield. 1 in a slightly deeper role and 1 more as a box to box midfielder. I know some would give it another title, but it's 4-5-1 to me, as I'm old school.;)

Clarke had many deficiencies in his game, but was a natural goal poacher. Jackson for me doesn't have that same instinct, but I do think he is the only player in our squad who could bag 20 goals for us at the moment.
