It's not like the council didn't have form. They tried to force new owners in at CCFC, not a massive stretch when that failed that they looked for another way to end the relationship.

I'm not a fan of the Butts idea anyway. Limits the potential of the club. Would much rather a purpose built stadium with all facilities on outskirts. I personally would incorporate some sort of fan plaza with bars, hotel, shops, etc but try to ccfc theme it. Would be the place for JH statue, etc...

These things don't happen over night. I'd imagine first contact was some time before. It does make you wonder whether this was indeed the start of the issues between CCFC and ACL/CCC

Wasn't so much head turned. He is a CCFC fan and got a lot of stick from a small number of fans for leaving. I don't think anyone I suggesting just twitter are they? Clearly it needs more so let's see what the trust come up with. It needs to be coordinated properly so the trust should be the ones to do it. I'm sure they would welcome sensible suggestions (ie not ones involving dog shit).

This is one of the problems with organisations like the trust. We live in an instant world and expect instant responses (not a criticism by the way).
