    New stadium

There's nothing to see here. I suspect that King's been having these kinds of conversations on and off ever since he came here, it doesn't mean that any of it is serious right now. It's a really unhelpful development in terms of the current negotiations so I suspect foul play somewhere

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

A lot of that was against much weaker sides (I know not all). He seems to need that extra time and space to compensate his heavy touch. He looks much better running on to the ball so would maybe suit a side play long on the break much more. I think he needs a move for his own good, he's a good lad.

I suspect that's related to the injury and all the strengthening work. He came back "too quickly"

Not with Torp playing like that he doesn't!

Ultimately we only scored from a howler of a mistake. The lack of goals is glaringly obvious but Lamps wouldn't be drawn on a striker last night although he conceded that we need a CB. Simmo played a lot better actually. EMC less so, he was the one regularly lookiing offside, giving needless...

Settled down after the first 10mins, which were awful. Injected some pace anbd started to hold the ball. EMC either offside or giving away needless fouls. Improved performance overall but little to frighten them in the final 1/3. Rushworth looks the part.

Cyrille especially. He was unplayable at times. The best we've had recently was Max funnily enough, strong as an ox.

So much so that it often seems to exclude him from the buildup play and we play with a man short as it were.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

You can generally see if someone can play or not in the first few minutes, touch, pass, tricks and intelligence. Limitations become more apparent with time, particularly as the opposition learn more about them and they've been kicked around a bit. He's a solid enough Championship player to my...

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

He looked bloody awful at first. He's quite skillful but his skill is a bit laboured for me and predictable. Strong though.

Yes, limited. Looked duff at first but improved under Lampard for a spell. At £5m we overpaid.

I like him well enough but not at £10m and not right now.

I might be wrong but didn't Illia Zabarnyi go to Bournemouith at almost the same age for a whole heap more than that? Doyle isn't a nipper anymore, which is why Man City want shot!

    Matchday Rewind Stoke City 1 - 0 Coventry City | Sat, 10 Aug, 2024

Failed to turn up. I was angry and almost disbelieving that day after all the talk of promotion, not just here but from the club and the players. In retrospect it was the coaching situation of course...

That isn't the question though. I said why would we mortgage the future on a player unproven in the PL. That's a much bigger gamble and one that PL clubs haven't made so far!

£5m in Europe should buy us a lot more.
