We should just try everything, letters, protests, anything and everything. Letters may possibly not work, but at the same time, I cannot see that it will do any harm whatsoever.
People need to register their concerns.

But in protecting the interests of CCFC and CRFC they are protecting the interests of the whole city, because it is in the city's interest for these 2 historic Coventry clubs, that go back nearly 150 years, to survive and flourish if at all possible.
And it's also rather superfluous to this one particular argument. This isn't a blame game letter, it is a plea for common sense and for councillors to do the right thing by the people of Coventry and two of its biggest sporting clubs that carry the city's name.
Best to keep it simple and focus...
I can be there for 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
Can make Monday too, if it is better to be then.
Anyone on here post on Cov RFC's forum? Would be a very good idea to get Cov rugby fans onboard with this too.
Here's mine for what it's worth. Pinched a fair bit of Michael's.
Dear Councillor Kershaw,
I wish to express my concern regarding media reports of a possible deal with Wasps RFC relating to ACL/the Ricoh Arena and to urge you not to agree any such deal unless it is to the clear benefit of...
Because I am talking about in terms of a template. I believe we all agree on the first part, the 2nd chunk is all personal opinion.
The first part I think would make quite a good template for all fans to use.
Just needs the first bit with sort sort of summary at the end, stating that as a councillor representing the citizens of Coventry, it is their duty to do the right thing by the 2 main sporting teams of this city, above all else.
Now we have more meat on the bones about the deal, we should all surely totally oppose it. Good for ACL and Wasps and CCC, bad for Coventry City FC, Cov Rugby and the people of Coventry (unless they are Wasps supporters).
Petition time I think and let's all contact our local concillors.
Their statutory duty is to act in the best interest of the citizens of Coventry. A deal that may mean CCFC leaving the city and an outsider taking over, surely just isn't right and is not acting in the best interest of the city's citizens.
Such great memories though.
We're all going to appreciate it when we relay the story to our grandchildren of the day when we employed a scout as manager.
It's like a 'When I see an elephant fly' moment.
