This is part of the problem. We only play well when Jones plays well. We are overly reliant on him. Other teams know this so he constantly has 2 men on him.

We play in a 2/3 empty stadium. It's not helpful.

Yep. That's why it's a gamble. Biamou wasn't exactly a prolific goalscorer in non league though, more what I meant was go after one of the prolific strikers in non league. You may get a Vardy, Austin, Pitman, etc... He took this route in the summer going after Tarpey, that one didn't work out...

It's not so much the ratings as those proclaiming him rubbish, overrated and someone we should cash in on. On the basis we only seem to do well when he plays well cashing in seems the opposite of what we should do.

I'd say best bet is to take a gamble on someone from non-league. If you're after someone proven at this level it won't happen - they'll likely be looking higher.

What is people's problem with Jones? Am I missing something? One of the best players in the division and about the only bright spark in our season so far. Scratching my head with this one.
