All those players you mentioned were all playing in the same team at the same time and just managed to stay up, so how could they be Play-off contenders in the Championship? Dann and Fox were sold after a season and a half, not less than 9 months.

So why did this team struggle in the depths of the Champonship then? Nowhere near good enough to challenge for promotion, which is one of the reasons why it didn't.
