Why so many empty seats ?

We’re no different to almost all other cities and fanbases

    It’s a new day it’s a new dawn

For me Robins is our greatest ever manager. He saved the club. Not only that, he’s ensured its survival for decades to come with the amount of young fans we’ve gained because of him. However I think with hindsight it was the right time for him to go. This team that he built is not worthy of...

Match Thread Coventry City - Plymouth Argyle Match Thread - Thursday 26th Dec

You make it sound like ex England players are constantly being appointed into top jobs. At least Rooney has tried. I admire anyone who is willing to try to learn something and better themselves. It’s sad that as a society we seem to want people like Rooney to fail.

That would suggest that the manager isn't actually that important in getting results

Match Thread Coventry City - Plymouth Argyle Match Thread - Thursday 26th Dec

I’m not sure I understand the hostility to Rooney. A lot of people seem desperate for him to fail. There’s a fair bit of it with Lampard as well. We should want English managers to do well. It’s embarrassing that an English manager has never won the PL

    Attendances

With the exception of Crewe in the JPT, the only reason we used to bottle it in front of big crowds was because the only time we got big crowds was if we were playing someone good

Why so many empty seats ?

Lot of people away at Christmas or get dragged along to god awful family get togethers. We’re not alone with this, as has already been said Derby v West Brom was also a sell out with empty seats. It’s more noticeable now as such a high percentage of the crowd are season ticket holders. The...

Ticket prices v Plymouth boxing day

Same as every club these days. Attendance is tickets sold, not how many people are actually there

Ticket prices v Plymouth boxing day

There were, but I think they still counted as sold. Freebies given out to people who couldn’t be bothered to turn up

Ticket prices v Plymouth boxing day

Go on the Plymouth website and buy some, then just sit on your own away from their fans. They'll be plenty of room

    What on earth happened?

The quality of the opposition is irrelevant when it comes to guts. You can play the best team in the world, get hammered, and still show guts. We were gutless against Leeds We were gutless against Portsmouth

    What on earth happened?

Leeds away earlier in the season was horrific . We don't judge managers on individual games.

    What on earth happened?

I agree. The only point I'm making is that there is no evidence that he is doing worse with these players than Robins was

Ticket prices v Plymouth boxing day

It was 28k (a record for League 2 that stands to this day) It must've been fairly close to a home sell out as Accrington wouldn't have brought more than a few hundred

Strachan made Noel Whelan move in with him to sort him out. Not sure how Christine is going to react when Frank brings Kitching home
