Saw it in teaching all the time. A few people are talented teachers. We look at them and write down what they do. Then we tell everyone this is the definition of being a good teacher and you must do this but we don’t know why and most good teachers don’t do it either. It’s just stupidity and fear.

I think if something works for seven years then you make a big change and it stops working it’s a safe bet that what you changed is the issue.
