Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Say what you like about Farage, he’s been a serious politician for 10+ years and whenever he’s on TV on BBC QT or other flagship shows, he has a good grasp of whatever he’s talking about. Polanski literally talks in well rehearsed phrases. Give him his dues, he does have charisma and is...

    25/26 January Transfer Window

As long as Lampard is given the resources needed, who we bring in or what terms they arrive on, I’m happy. We cashed in £6.5m for Sheaf, was bidding £10+ million for Hughes supposedly so there ought to be a good pot available for the window.

    25/26 January Transfer Window

Simms durability is impressive to be fair, rarely misses a game due to injuries. He’s not as explosive as Wright, EMC or BTA so he’s lower risk for non-contact muscular injuries. His form has come at a great time and he’s got a golden opportunity to make himself undroppable now. He’s not yet...

    Transfer Rumour Keyan Varela

At 19, the club isn’t looking for a finished article but a player who has good tangible qualities to develop. Hopefully he’s a decent player!

Could the CBS Arena be extended?

Academy is the next big thing the club needs to upgrade! Not being a Cat 1 academy is taking future talent away from our club. Players like Monga should’ve been developed in our academy!

Could the CBS Arena be extended?

As soon as we get to the Prem, the one thing that’ll definitely be expanded is the hospitality offering. 1 hospitality seat sold is worth 5+ supporters in terms of spend. The conversation around extending the ground when we don’t sell out is a bit redundant. First thing first, the club needs...

    Benjamin Bloom

It’d be quite satisfying to beat Birmingham’s tally. They’ve been talking that record up so much it’d be well funny beating it the very next season and in a tougher division.

Match Thread Ipswich Town - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 6th Dec

Ipswich’s record against top half teams has been pretty poor so I’m confident we won’t lose! 3-2 is my score prediction.

Potential summer signings from the Championship

Whittaker hasn’t even been at Boro for a year yet. We’re not signing him in the Championship and not sure he’s worth £10+ million for the Prem. It’s not the type of signing we’re going to be looking at.

Poll: Who will finish as top goal scorer this season?

Just as a whole, it’s only took a couple of injuries and we look v weak off the bench. Thankfully, there’s been v few instances where we’ve looked out of ideas, yesterday we had 5 defenders on the bench. Compare that to Ipswich who brought on McAteer, Akpom, Azon from the bench and have...

Potential summer signings from the Championship

With players like Dabo, if they get multiple muscular injuries and they lose their pace or can’t push themselves without pulling something… you’re finished. His decline was v sudden and it’s a bit sad.

    Eccles

It’s like Lampard came in and swapped the two. The way Eccles plays AM kinda reminds me of how COH could play there. Eccles doesn’t necessarily carry the ball like Grimes or Torp does, but he is comfortable receiving the ball in tight spaces and keeping possession, which is an underrated...

Gone Unoticed? Record home fan attendance

That assumes the prices guarantee a sell out, it doesn’t. Most clubs in this division average less than our away allocation holds so unless you gifted tickets, not every game will sell out. Bristol City’s average away following last season was 1.4k, they don’t travel that well…

    Charlton Player Ratings

Having a roaming winger is pretty normal. Even on Rudoni’s heat map, he gravitates more to the right hand side than the left when he plays AM. Absolute best team will have Rudoni at AM but Lampard has some job finding his absolute best team.

    Ipswich Team?

Why the fear factor? Ipswich have scored 3, conceded 2 and 4 points. They’ve only beaten 1 team in the top half (Hull) all season. We’ve both played 7 top half teams, we’ve played 8 with a record of 6-1-1. We are not in danger Gibbo, we are the danger!

Yes, but is there anything Sakamoto can do that Rudoni couldn’t? If Eccles keeps up his form, it’s entirely possible that we’ll see Rudoni at RW more often. With EMC, the closest thing we have to him is MVE and we at least have KKH if MVE gets injured.

    Charlton Player Ratings

EMC is far more important to how we play than Tats imo. Rudoni was able to come in and do a solid job out wide whereas there isn't anyone in the team with the same directness as EMC. A great example here is the Sheff U game at home where we were pretty toothless until we had that directness out...

Poll: Who will finish as top goal scorer this season?

True, but why leave the squad depth to chance? Right now we’re reliant on Simms right now, maybe Wright is back next week but may need easing back in. As a whole, our bench looks v weak atm, Allen, KKH are the only midfielders/defenders that’ll make an impact. Looking towards Jan, we do need...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

He’s being pushed by a lot of the organisations behind Momentum. When this guy makes contact with reality, it’ll hit v hard. He and Eddie Dempsey will say ‘who elected the bond markets?’ Well, don’t lend from them. Polanski struggles whenever he’s unable to repeat pre-rehearsed lines and he...
