    Albany Meeting ?

New Bilton Juniors became Valley Sports became VS Rugby became Rugby United became Rugby Town. All name changes but the same club. Not sure about another club originally called Rugby Town. Was it a long time ago? i only ever remember VS Rugby as the football club in Rugby. Either way, I don't...

    Albany Meeting ?

Don't think I could recognise them, but as i say, it's a personal choice really. I would recognise a reformed club though.

    Albany Meeting ?

From Wikipedia: "Newport Council considered the new company to be a continuation of the old, and refused permission to use Somerton Park on the grounds of unpaid rent."

I don't get the obsession with "what if Coventry Sphinx became CCFC". You may as well say "what if Aston Villa became CCFC".

    Albany Meeting ?

I've certainly seen no evidence of it happening so far. Yes, it is ludicrous to think Coventry Sphinx could be CCFC. No, it's not ludicrous to think that a reformed CCFC are CCFC.

I think there is still pressure that can be applied. Just because you have a cntingency plan doesn't mean you want to use it. I imagine the contingency plan has been in place long before this dispute, it won't be something new. When the trust was first set up with supporters direct I imagine...

    Albany Meeting ?

I live in Barnsley and I would still support CCFC if they had to be reformed. Each to their own though, it's not for me to decide what feels right to someone else. It's not anything that anyone wants anyway (I hope!). I'd personally rather we were stuck with Sisu for the rest of eternity than...

    Albany Meeting ?

Ultimately, I watch football for entertainment. It's a game. I couldn't care less about what level the club are at. What would matter for me is it feeling right. If that doesn't feel right for someone else, fair enough. I'm not sure what you're looking for but if I was the only one there I...

    Albany Meeting ?

Possibly, but if I'd chosen my club because of the level of success they have it wouldn't have been CCFC! I couldn't say if I'd go until I saw what it looked like but level of play certainly wouldn't be the determining factor for me.

    Albany Meeting ?

Only individuals can decide for themselves what they believe. The FA will only recognise one as a continuation by giving that club a place in the football pyramid at the appropriate level (conference or conference north probably). If the FA recognise any existing club as a continuation like...

    Albany Meeting ?

Wimbledon are a little different as another club took their place in the football league.

    Albany Meeting ?

I didn't know that to be fair. I would be hugely against that in principle.

    Albany Meeting ?

    Can't disagree with that.

    Albany Meeting ?

I think legally they have to state they are a new club, otherwise I guess they would become liable for debts, etc (just guessing, I have no particular legal insight around this). What the fans think is more important I guess. Do Newport fans consider themselves a continuation? I would guess so...

    Albany Meeting ?

To be clear, Coventry United are not a phoenix club. They are a protest club. They are to CCFC what FC United are to Man United. Whether you support a reformed club or not they are not Coventry United.

Hereford played in that division as a result of where they were in the football pyramid. They took a 2 division drop. Nuneaton also took a 2 division drop to the Southern Premier League First Division when they reformed. 2 division drop is the usual punishment. Chester were placed at the...

    Transfer Rumour Kyle Edwards?

That one again. Not sure he really fits the description of a pacey winger.

    Allasani to Ayr United

Exactly, you can't judge players that were signed for development this season. Got to give them a couple of years.

    The "Highlights"

That's pretty bad to be fair. Maybe it did take a bobble or something but you really have to be scoring those.
  20. mark82

    I'll say it

I wouldn't say that the players individually aren't good enough. The strikers have clearly been disappointing, but we have some good players overall. Think the squad is maybe a little young and naïve at times and tactically we are poor.
