    Albany Meeting ?

Firstly, it's not really just about if we have to reform, we also need to consider the impact it could have whether the club does or doesn't fold. That could be under Sisu or under new owners. The fact is, Wasps own the stadium whether we like it or not so pissing them off isn't really...

    Albany Meeting ?

No, they can pressure them on the deal (or lack thereof), all I'm saying is it would be short sighted and counterproductive for them to completely renounce Wasps presence. Like it or not, whatever form the club is in going forward, we need their co-operation. As Liquid Gold says, you have to...

    Albany Meeting ?

I hate the franchise being here and I wish the Trust would do more in terms of putting pressure on them for a deal, but.... If things do go south, and the club is liquidated, the Trust may need support from Wasps to be allow a reformed club to use the stadium, etc. It's a balancing act for the...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Walsall Match Thread - Saturday 16th Feb

15/8 anytime scorer, but yes, he's 66/1 to score a hat trick. 8/1 to score 2+.

    Myth busting discussion

If only people actually cared about facts these days. It won't stop us seeing the same old BS arguments.

    Albany Meeting ?

I was with you until the second line when you decided to do exactly what the previous poster did and just hurl abuse at someone who took a different stance to you. Were you wrong to stand on the hill - no. Were people wrong to go to games at Sixfields - no. It's a personal choice. People can...

    Myth busting discussion

From experience, people on social media have absolutely no interest in what is true. See Brexit for further examples (or any other political argument for that matter). It's just too easy to just believe something that backs up your pre-conceived ideas than understand the truth.

    Myth busting discussion

Agree, I had someone arguing with me until they were blue in the face the other day that the club was profitable because we posted a gross profit. Didn't seem to matter to them that it was before we'd even paid the players.

Grab a beer or a cup of tea, it’s CCFC!!

It's just so commonplace to make shit up to support your argument these days that people just freely do it.

Grab a beer or a cup of tea, it’s CCFC!!

It would be nice to see a balanced view occasionally. Not sure why there needs to be sides. Why do people think you can only have an extreme view one way or another these days?

Is this whole thing a Haskell Mk2?

The biggest asset we have is the players, who would presumably all be free to find new clubs in that case. Other than that only real asset is Ryton. Either way whether they did that or liquidated it would be equally as painful. In your scenario I think a successor club could still be formed but...

    Highfield Road 2

I can think of 1 reason they would. Money. Not going to happen though. This discussion only came from Otis saying the Butts would be better than Nuneaton and a similar size (or something to that effect).

Transfer Rumour Looking at a GK (Tommy Taylor)

I never mind us taking a chance on non-league players. Low risk with potentially high rewards.

Is this whole thing a Haskell Mk2?

Was the same with Newport I believe. They were Newport AFC for a while but the re-adopted the Newport County name.

    Davies on the move

I imagine he's been signed with that in mind, buy will have to win a place like anyone else. Suspect it depends hugely on whether Willis stays.

    Highfield Road 2

Coventry United groundshare with CRFC. Not sure if that is a long term agreement? In terms of what Sharp said, I think his talk about not dealing with Sisu were in relation to co-ownership of the ground rather than having them as a short term tenant.

    Burge

    Bloody auto-correct.
  18. mark82

    Burge

Didn't Nathan Jones comment last year that he thought Burge was the best keeper in league 2? It might have been someone else but if it was then there is obviously that link. I can't see Butland staying at Stoke after the summer so if he is someone Jones rates then it could make sense.

    Max back in Training

He only started the 1st game before the Blackpool game where he did his knee. The other 2 he was a late sub. He wasn't prolific in league 2, so can't see that he would be in league 1, but his all round game makes him worth a spot.
