I'm sorry, but some of the stuff going back the other way to Grendel is equally as bad. I know we love to use him as a pantomime villain on here but he often makes some good points and most of his criticism of certain members of the trust board is entirely valid.
Seems they have definitely gone for a type. Goalkeepers who can play the ball. Wilson also described himself as a footballing goalkeeper who likes to play the ball out. Quite excited for next season at the moment with the type of player we are signing (ground shenanigans aside). Quite like...
You're right that the money is "loaned" (it's on the accounts as debt) but it's not being repaid. They are putting money into the club on an annual basis to cover the shortfall.
The only way I could accept indemnifying them is if it came with a share of the Ricoh, either now (at a reduced cost) or in the event of us having to bail them out.
Sambou believed he was better than he was. He thought he should've been playing first team football for us, and when it didn't happen he went to play for Everton Reserves. Ruined his own career from what I remember, certainly would've been further along now had he stayed.
Christ, why do people get this worked up over what one person said on a forum of hundreds, if not thousands. If you don't like it just ignore it, don't flounce about it.
"But he said something mean to me..."
So what, grow up.
I think it could have worked, despite the late notice, if the trust had got fully involved and really pushed it. To be blunt, I think their response to this was piss poor. Change is needed at the trust if they are to ever be truly representative of the fans.
You'd think if it was now likely we'd be playing outside Coventry they'd be stepping up the PR to try to sell it. I just want to know either way now, this constant will we/won't we is getting tedious.
I think he makes a good point. To be able to elect one of our fellow members onto the board from here would be good. We couldn't moan about not being heard any more and would open up communication.
