    Shipley

Best performances this season were at LWB & did well in L2 as a left midfielder. Maybe playing down the flank is his future. He wasn't loved by all in L1 for effort/tackling but his goals helped considerably. It will be an interesting summer to see if the dead wood is jettisoned & replaced...

I'm sure Robins will be positive on camera about Waghorn's influence... Whilst in the background, moving heaven & earth to find him a club in the summer at no cost to us.

With what's going around the camp, along with the short turnaround between tonight & Saturday lunchtime... I don't think it's quite 'miracle territory', but it feels like it would be a massive achievement to get 6 points before the international break.

He lives in Leaming... Actually, lets not reopen that wound again!

Fulham game moved to sunday 10 April

I was looking to book a hotel Fri/Sat around Jan and changed my mind... Bullet dodged!

    Bidwell

And then extended the contract... For a loooong time. Let's hope Swansea gave us the keys to the Rolls Royce whilst we were there... Then we'll be laughing!

    Late goals

There has been 9 goals after 90, Pete... So Gyokeres against Bristol misses the cut. But it's 11 pts won = 4 draws into wins. 3 defeats into draws. 2 with game 'won'. Don't forget a missed pen by Gyokeres too!

U23 v Barnsley at The Higgs Tues 1pm

Well he's not learning as did something similar against Reading at the start of the season from almost the same position. Fadz covering him saved him there.

    Waghorn

Waghorn & Gyokeres certainly did not play like a pair on Saturday. Both extremely detached from one another. That could be either player's fault or just the way Preston set up. If anyone thought he would score 15+ this season then they were deluded, but this spell since coming back has not been...

    A very important point

I agree... If he took one for the team 11 times this season, then fine... But most are bloody stupid ones, yet does not learn!

Too much shadow boxing in attacking areas. Finally someone landed a punch!

    Penalties

Darren Purse & Ebanks Blake were last minute penalty misses yeeeeeeears ago, shame Johnson couldn't do the same!

    Preston attendance

I hope I'm wrong, but I cannot see a surge in sales in the home end for Saturday. It feels like it's flattened out since the covid 'winter break'... That might change if we are still amongst it come in the games to come.

    Summer Sales

Was thinking about our (lack of) activity in buying from the lower leagues. Since promotion, the English league players we have purchased have tended to be from the championship or Prem freebies/loans. The lower league signings have tended to be more hope (Drysdale, Tavares, Harriott) than...
