Whoever's running it is undoubtedly working very hard, but in terms of our content/output it's pretty amateurish compared to our peers, and hasn't really changed much since the League Two days.

O Southampton on high, thank you, for these kind words. For such gracious praise, we will truly be eternally grateful.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

This is by far the most significant move against Boris from within his own ranks - more so than Theresa May's telling-off in parliament on Monday. He's on his own. The only thing keeping him going at the moment is the Tory fear of having to call an election once they dump him.

    Top 5 penalty takers ?

Easy to forget we've actually had quite a few shootouts in the last few years - unfortunately I think we've lost them all. For Saturday (and based on who I expect to start) I'd go with: Gyokeres Sheaf Eccles Hamer O'Hare It's all a crapshoot anyway. McFadzean has missed the last two he's taken...

Spoken like someone who absolutely, really doesn't want anyone to make a 5 million bid for one of our best players, because we really wouldn't be happy about immediately accepting it, oh no.

Dacosta off to L1 (loan with a view to perm)

Don't get me wrong, Kastaneer is undoubtedly the worse player. But ironically, he was doing less damage to us pottering around the U23s on a lower wage than DaCosta was wandering around the CBS out of position in the first team.

Dacosta off to L1 (loan with a view to perm)

On what grounds? DaCosta was almost certainly on a bigger wage. Besides, they both offered nothing to the first team bar the odd wild card moment, but DaCosta's mistakes were much more likely to cost us at RWB than Kasta's in attacking midfield. Kasta was crap but harmless, DaCosta was crap and...

Dacosta off to L1 (loan with a view to perm)

The guy’s a total liability and I’m amazed he’s had multiple clubs bidding for him. Would rather still have Kastaneer on the books.

Not really - I take bullying to mean the unfair and sustained targeting of a specific weak and vulnerable person. Is that how you see it?

This is a moronic comparison and I can’t believe we’re still doing this. In a true emergency, of course it doesn’t matter - if my plane is crashing and the only pilot on board is drunk, then I don’t mind if he tries to save me. But pilots should still have to be sober to fly (even if, yes, sober...

U23 v Hull at the Higgs 1pm tomorrow

I'd say that any league where you can lose 6-0 and then win the same fixture 6-1 later in the season isn't the kind of league where you can learn much from a team's overall position.

    No ambition.

I would have wanted to keep Walker. But the implication is that we can't afford to even renew the contracts of our existing players, let alone sign new ones, unless we have a squad with zero deadwood across the entire first team. Is that a sustainable or realistic way to run a club?

    January Transfer Window

You reported from the Supporters Forum in September that "currently the increased income is filling the increased expenditure from various unforeseen activity", such as the club shop (which went 100% over budget!) and goal-line technology. Are you now saying it also paid for Jake Bidwell too?
