Exactly... and if it is looking like GD might come into play, just use the old South American / Italian tactic of good, old, bribery! Who saw Coventry 12 Boro 0 coming??? Almost as contrived as Coventry 0 Morecambe 0... hey, Bees fans??!

I get the thinking behind the OP, and I may look silly not worrying about it come the end, but I'd take that now over a 6-0 win & 2 1-0 defeats with a +4!

To improve it, we have to win games... so it tends to look after itself over time. Wright coming back will help it.

Hopefully they don't treat Wembley like a league game & bugger off after 90 mins when we're drawing!

To think, the 2 seasons in recent season, where there atmosphere was considered the liveliest, were first one post-covid & play off season and, other than the last couple of games, we were hardly anywhere near that.

Spotting fellow Cov fans in the wild

London is commonplace... I studied there 2000/3, and I had a white van man shouting GET IN THERE at me on Tottenham Court Road, and we where both wearing the black Isuzu top from the relegation season.

    Cov v Stoke

It's nearly 20 years ago, but Alan Curbishley got a decent reception when he returned to Charlton with West Ham... he also got a 4 nil beating... so hopefully we can do something similar. Personally, I will not care a jot about Robins as I'll be still crying over Hamer from November.

    Cov v Stoke

There will be utter & complete outrage when they score in the 7th minute, in a 1-0 defeat, when the crowd are applauding his 7 years & the players are furiously telling the oppo to put the ball out of play so they can join in!

Are we going to "shit" our way up!?

That 'Luton blueprint' has backfired a bit! I also don't think we can match the spending of Ipswich to have the EFL pick of the league.

    Ellis simms

There's, hopefully, 2 avenues here... 1) Lampard does not see him as the forward we need, but he continues to score at a rate that gets him near last season's haul... Then we get a decent fee. 2) Lampard has been impressed with him and, in his opinion, can only get better. Neither is a bad one.

    We are right in it

Blackburn are always good value for the top six in every month bar one... just a shame for them that month is always May!

    Doug got it right

I'm in Fuerteventura this week & the episode with all the fathers on the plane popped in my head on the flight. Sorry, are we talking about priority points on this thread?

    Premier league standard

A good example of that was with our local lads Evatt & McSheffrey. Ian was let go by QPR, who did not view him as Championship standard, he went to Blackpool in L1, got promoted & promoted again, where he played a full season... and that was him done with the Prem (bar maybe a sub app as a kid...
