Seriously, if this is true and Waghorn is indeed off at the end of the season, then net-net this has actually turned into a great night for me, fair play.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Not often that Farage and Abbott are aligned on an issue! This must be a confusing time for you.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

It’s not really an understanding if only one party believes it to be the case. Russia have periodically griped about the ‘spirit of the agreement’ when it’s geopolitically convenient for them to do so, but the reality is there was never any concrete agreement that countries like these couldn’t...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

So it isn’t historical fact that NATO‘s expansion is breaking its agreements?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

You are well aligned with Nigel Farage on this one! The claim that there was an explicit promise not to expand NATO eastwards is very much disputed. And in any case, comparing NATO and its relationship to Russia to some kind of “anti American” alliance gathering on the US border is so...

    Can we do Shithousery

How was it shithousery? Wasn’t it just…..a foul? Not sure I understand the latest buzzword.

    Bidwell

Maatsen missed three games with injury. Let’s not pretend this was some kind of urgent catastrophe.

    Bidwell

Gyokeres was a 22 year old who filled a position of need for us. What’s most baffling to me about the Bidwell signing is that even assuming he comes good, we don’t have a pressing need for another LWB right now - we have multiple other options there and he isn’t even the best one. I’m not sure...

    Bidwell

That’s an impressive degree of patience. Personally if we’re going to have to ship out six or seven players just to bring in one guy in January, I think it’s only fair to expect some kind of return from him before August.

Trouble / Segregation at the CBS

There was a bit of trouble at half time - their lot were throwing beer over onto the Cov part of the concourse and kicking the metal fence separating the home end from the away end. Then a City fan kicked a door open between the two ends, and the one Reading fan who attempted to actually use it...

    Match Thread Reading (away)

Waghorn is turning out to be a Hillsner-level of bad transfer business. Maybe even worse by the end of the season.

    Maatsen

He was way off the pace today, in both positions. Glad he scored though!

    Match Thread Reading (away)

I’m referring to your multiple posts in this thread where you’re suggesting that Tavares should have come on for Gyokeres. Or are you backtracking on that now?

And you think Tavares is the answer to that? Very strange.

    Bidwell

Both wing backs were very poor today, which goes a long way to explaining why we were so lacklustre. Kane apparently isn’t fit, I’m not sure what Bidwell’s excuse is.

I mean….sure. But I’m not sure why that means we should make bad decisions like subbing in a kid from Rochdale if this is the case.

    Match Thread Reading (away)

Probably because our squad is threadbare and the list of players we can trust to steer us through close games isn’t as long as our list of substitutes. Gyokeres was our only attacking outlet for most of the game and was doing a phenomenal job of holding the ball up against the Reading back...

    Match Thread Reading (away)

We won a tight game by one goal after playing badly throughout, and people are upset we didn’t bring on Tavares for his Championship debut? Think some people need to take a break from the fan club. That Reading pitch invasion was one of the most tragic things I’ve ever seen. They’re totally fucked.

    Kurt Zouma

Right, but I’m saying it’s a more complicated question than most people think. It’s almost never going to be a case of ‘Hit a certain threshold and [x] automatically happens’ Clearly someone caught being cruel to animals should face serious personal (and legal) consequences. But the liabilities...
