    Martyn Waghorn

I think his dropping off gives both Gyokeres more space behind and O'Hare more space in the pocket since Waghorn engages the opposing midfield. Gyokeres gone off the boil since he's been out - O'Hare less effective also. Poorer form all round.

ah - so you have to play 90 minutes to be counted? Makes sense

And yet our form dropping off has coincided with him being absent :censored:

We need the left sided centre half back....provides more balance and the option to push rose over to the right side. Also think we're missing waghorn - he drops and retains the ball and gives O'Hare more space. That said I didn't think they were that much better - key moments went their way and...

How so? Senior player upgrades? A couple of loan signings LWB and CB? And ideally a CM (although James didn't join until mid-season). Struggling to see how we've veered way off course tbh. Oh, and we still have all of the younger players from the year before. The market has changed too. Just...

And we still have most of those players. Now building up the squad. Said it before: - Moore > Marosi - Waghorn > Biamou Plus the benefit a full season in the Championship will have on O'Hare, Walker, Sheaf, Hamer. We are short in three positions - LWB (Maatsen), CB (Crainie plus one more) and...

Yeah, including those teams who finished below us?

    Ticket prices

I guarantee a ton of work will have gone into pricing strategy and how other teams are pricing...the ticketing partner would help with that. I also think we forget how passive our supporter base is - we'll have 12,000 - 15,000 hardcore + loyal fans who will benefit from season ticket and match...

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

Not true - it's weaker in a few areas. Centre midfield (James), left side defense. Both will be sorted before the season starts. Plus we have players who struggled with long term injury more likely to contribute.

Transfer Rumour Viktor Gyokeres - Confirmed 3 Year Deal

Some of the comments on here are abysmal. I don't think he was fully fit to lead the line alone until nearer the end of the season - hence biamou playing. But his touch and quality is there for all to see....a significant upgrade on Max and Baka (no disrespect to them) and someone who will only...

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

Not sure this makes a ton of sense tbh - had to 'settle' for players like Waghorn and Moore who don't fit the model (young, can be developed)....after missing out on Collins, Paterson etc who......also don't fit the model. Not saying he isn't frustrated - he might be. But we're improving...

    Championship incomings 2021-22 Summer window

The success of the last two years has been based balancing the books, investing wisely and trusting in the coaching and recruitment staff. It's a different model to the likes of Bristol City and others who (I would guess) are spending above their means. 20k+ a month back at the Ricoh and maybe...

he'll be fine - good potential, got better as the season went on. People just like something to moan about....trust the process, it's worked for the last few years

Different to both. And we'll need 4 strikers based on the amount of injuries we had last year.

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

I think Gyokeres was massively underrated when here (and actually got better throughout the season as his fitness improved). Says a lot when people were banging on about Biamou and this guy has 10x the ability (and potential).

    Waghorn Rumour

Same people moaning about this are the same ones moaning that we didn't offer James a 3 year contract. A few experienced heads + some up and coming players with potential (incl. loans) and we'll have a nice balance.

Good bloke. Gives his all. Won't progress us up the table (and frankly probably wants to play at his age....unlikely to be the case here)

Love the default 'tries hard/works hard' argument.....at this level we need quality not just grafters. Robins knows.....
