    Take the knee

I'm out of here now anyway. Will move to off topic as this has moved way past should we take the knee or not.

    Take the knee

Why? You could argue 2 coppers were shot in the head in LA on the back of this "movement" and it's anti police rhetoric.. Not a good look?you don't get to tell me what is and isn't a good look as I have my own mind and opinions.. I'm against the BLM organisation... I'm not against the fight for...

    Take the knee

Not sure anyone is actually making the "white man bad" argument though. People are asking to be treated equally. As you suggest, it's not a quick fix - there are a lot of societal issues that need resolving.

Which BLM group do you mean?

    Take the knee

Scargill? Never heard that before. I know he worked in the pits for 20 years before becoming president of the NUM, so not like he wasn't qualified for it. He was a member of the young communist party in his early years (as a lot of Labour politicians of the day were) and was certainly an...

    Take the knee

He's a leader of one of the groups in the UK that have aligned to BLM but aren't actually affiliated in anyway. Bit of a straw man argument.

    Take the knee

We're talking about one of the many UK groups here rather than the movement as a whole. I think there should be some distinction between the movement (which is non-hierarchical) and some of the local groups trying to attach themselves to the movement and push their own motives. Yes, by nature...

    Take the knee

I've tried looking on their website for these things in the past and have never been able to find them. It may have changed since, I don't know. Can you provide me a link to the specific offending pieces please.

    Take the knee

It's all about the relative position. White man, who has generally (as a race) been the oppressor vs. black man who has been suppressed. Essentially they have different historical connotations.

People will try to politicise it anyway.

    Take the knee

I don't think there will be many who pretend to care. Most will be supportive of something their friends/teammates believe strongly in.

    Is another signing really needed?

Although if Bapaga not out for too long I'd have him as our developmental AM. Maybe a loan in that position until Christmas.

    Is another signing really needed?

I've said sign 1-2 players. In my mind the perfect scenario would be to sign developmental players who are good enough as backup right now, so young players from league 1/2. I'd go with an attacking midfielder and a LWB. Also an argument for another DM.

    Realistic signings

Yep, it is funny. To be honest, I think the main thing last year was that we had a settled team that was winning. If McCallum does come back he'd be a decent backup. I think his development would be better served going somewhere he can play week in, week out. Going the Scotland route like...

    Fankaty Dabo

I'd be tempted to stick a new long term contract in front of him.

Would he even get in our team now?

Match Thread Coventry City vs QPR

Only natural. Was a bit of a theme in his comments last year too.

    Whats left then

Neither have actually played badly either.
