Fans leaving before the end again

The funniest and most memorable case of fans leaving early was the famous league cup game in 1990, when as far as I could tell from my vantage point, almost half the Forest fans left the ground with their team 4 nil down after half an hour. By all accounts a sizable number begged to be let back...

Completely agree and I along with many others are desperate for success. It's just the nagging doubts that continually pop into the brain!!

    Have expectations exceeded reality

I'm amazed that people continue to be surprised by the lack of belief the fans have in the club. We've been here so many times before. Nilsson had us top of the Championship in November, McCallister had us in and around the top 6 and then failed to win another game after Christmas, Coleman...

    Attendance: 5 Games In!

Every game in this league is winnable, but unfortunately from a Coventry fan's perspective they are also loseable as we've proven many times! If the team can get a bit of consistency, particularly away (we've already got the home form sorted), then I think crowds will rise to 14/15k.

    Next 3 games = 9 points

The Burton game probably gave us the template for away games. You've got to have a stronger more experienced player up top for their hold up play and to relieve the defence. The speed on the break should come from the flanks.

Prior to Saturday, it was 4 points from 4 games. 2 away defeats, an unconvincing home draw and one good performance (Burton away). Some would have seen that as a return to type, hence the impact on the attendance. Those fluctuations will continue until the team are solidly top 6 over 20+ games.

I honestly don't believe that it has a great deal to do with the owners at the moment. Whilst the current form and standard of football is admittedly encouraging, it's not yet sustained enough to entice a whole swathe of support back to the Ricoh. The fans have been let down and disappointed...

If his contract has been cancelled, I'm pretty sure the signing could be done after the deadline?

This is an absolute scandal and should result in heads rolling. At best incompetence, at worst corruption. This actually makes me want SISU to win their case against the council!

    Defensive mistakes

Yes, but he wasn't the only player culpable. It shouldn't have got to that point in the first place. He is still young and will hopefully learn from his mistakes.

    Defensive mistakes

I think everyone is being a bit harsh on Willis. One thing my dad spotted for the first goal was that Lameiras had switched sides leaving Willis unprotected with a acres of space in front of him. Up until he was subbed, Lameiras had a tendency to go wandering in search of the ball and perhaps...

Mowbray admits he will have to rely on loans

I know it's the way things work, but there are a sizeable portion of the fans waiting to see concrete investment in the team before committing to a season ticket. Unfortunately as the bulk of the team building is going to take place after the end of the early bird discount I can't see the club...

    If we WERE relegated

A defeat for us at Crawley, a win for Notts County away at (nothing to play for) Gillingham, a draw for Crewe at home to (nothing to play for) Bradford. That is not a huge shift. Even then it discounts the outside possibility that Colchester will win both their games, which means only one of...

Want my money ? Then bloody earn it.

"So by making sure we get our bit right, getting the right manager in place and setting the prices at a level that makes a season ticket more affordable for the fans - we hope that will mean more supporters can get on board and help us get the club back where it needs to be. "We all have to...

Safety ? Long way to go yet.

If all the teams had 3 games left I think I could say with near 100% certainty that we will stay up on the points total we already have. As it stands, I'm 80% certain we would stay up on the current points total. That said, a point from the Bristol or Crewe game should avoid any last day jitters.
