    Hull Ratings

Wilson 7 Hard to fault him today, distribution generally improved Dabo 7 Signs of the old Dabo continue, but grew tired McNally 7 Looks comfortable in a back 3 or 4 McFadzean 6 Not his best game, passing a bit haywire Doyle 6 Some nice long balls but a few scatterbrain moments too...

No, but we don’t have the luxury of rotating in players who are in-form. I imagine that Robins has already made his mind up about him, but from a purely personal POV I’d be interested in seeing if Walker still has enough about him to be considered an option for next season.

    Songs We No Longer Sing

There was some insanely bad 90s techno song about Huckerby that was doing the rounds on YouTube years ago, soundtracking some of his highlights for us. If I wasn’t on a crowded train then I’d try and find it…

If this is true AND he single-handedly got us back to the Ricoh then we’ve got to be considering a statue for him, surely.

    Songs We No Longer Sing

The only truly original songs we’ve had in my time as a fan were the ones for Gary Breen and Chippo/Hadji/Keano, both of which were brilliant.

If we’re going to play two up front and your second choice striker is out of form then it’s hardly the worst thing in the world to start him.

Sky Blues Tavern and the Anecdote

Infinitely better wait times (and beer) than Dhillons. Never had to wait too long in there tbh.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Think it averages about 1.4 million viewers, which is pretty good for that time slot (certainly compared to other football shows at similar times)

Somewhat fittingly, today’s Football Focus has been replaced with a re-run of Bargain Hunt.

I did once think I saw Lee Hughes crowdsurfing at an Idlewild gig at the Wulfrun in 2003…..he scored zero goals for WBA that season, so just goes to show.

Match Thread ⚽️ Coventry City vs Hull City Match Thread - Saturday 11th Mar

I thought most footballers these days spent the night before games playing FIFA into the small hours? If they’re not out all night getting wrecked on Jagerbombs and crowd surfing then I’m just happy for Gus and COH to be feeling relaxed and happy to be living in the Cov area.

I think literally all of them have been taken from other teams, except maybe the Vik one.

I do find it a joke that anyone would willingly go to a Tom Grennan gig, but I suppose it’s more acceptable if you’re a footballer and can get in for free.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Both of those scandals resulted in independent inquiries and weeks of press coverage - this one has a long way to go before it hits those levels.

I did have a mate who tore his ACL at a Deftones gig, but I doubt there’s much risk of injury from a Tom Grennan show.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

JK Rowling (definitely not cancelled) and Gina Carano (sorry I had to Google) doesn't strike me as a tidal wave of cases, nor do either of them (or race-baiting slogans like 'All Lives Matter') seem comparable to someone getting suspended from their job for criticizing the government to me. But...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

So if someone does a crap job which makes them unpopular, it's cancel culture to call for a taxi?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

It's a fair viewpoint, but if the BBC feels the same way then they should put it in their Code of Conduct for all employees and make sure Lineker signed up to it knowing the consequences of breaking it. They haven't, and he hasn't, so here we are.
