    Soccer AM scrapped

Did it go serious? All I’ve ever seen of recent shows were endless segments of Jimmy Bullard doing football drills. Have to say that very few of the old clips doing the rounds today have aged very well. The idea of a three hour show devoted to football tricks compilations and landfill indie...

    Set Pieces

There’s more to just throw-ins than just lobbing it as far as possible into the box. So long as you don’t lose possession and/or momentum then our current approach seems fine to me.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

It’s mental how much of the forum lately is just this kind of stuff, over and over again.

Check out Jeremy Paxman over here!

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Wow, big get for the Mail. I suppose she must be better known to men of a certain age.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I don’t want to upset you, but sometimes I do disagree with some of the Daily Mail’s front page choices. Who is Amanda Platell btw?

    You’d imagine what now?

    Set Pieces

If the other teams want to just stack the box with giant CBs at every corner and spend 15 minutes a game drying off the ball for long throws then let them, I’m too busy watching Gus score worldies. Robinsball forever 🫡

    Soccer AM scrapped

Used to love it, but let’s be honest, it was for kids really.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Unbelievably, after seeing how uninterested the general public is in the Boris story from yesterday’s sales figures, all of these papers have decided to put the same story on their front pages again today.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

No this is my one (but we only did it to try and drum up interest, no-one really cares obviously):

    Oasis reunion

Yeah, ignoring the fact that Liam hasn’t been able to sing for ~20 years, seeing them live in the UK would be a pretty horrendous experience. Even beyond the piss-throwers you’ll have hordes of teenagers cosplaying as Kathy Burke in that Kevin & Perry sketch trying to tell you that bucket hats...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

To a certain extent - maybe. To the extent that nearly every outlet, left/right, tabloid/broadsheet, radio/TV independently slaps it on the front page and leads with it? Seems a stretch to me.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The Beano doesn’t take an editorial view on this one

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I personally find it tedious, but every broadsheet and tabloid editor alike deciding to put it on today’s front page suggests they think there’s a lot of interest in the story. I assume you think they all got it wrong?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

It’s on the front page of every newspaper today, bar the FT and The Sun (they went with an Ed Sheeran interview instead)

    International Duty

Getting £2m+ for a player you believe to be rubbish surely makes it more likely that the deal was strategic after all rather than a fire sale?

    International Duty

I thought the deal was handled badly by our side in terms of the timing and subsequent use of the money, but if those numbers are accurate (no obvious reason to believe they’re not) then we got a good price for him, for sure. It’s just a shame that didn’t translate into us strengthening the...

    Sarah Everard

Nice for the Met commissioner to allow himself some pride that his officers are now bravely speaking out. Just a shame that the organisation he leads apparently made it next to impossible for officers to speak out until now.

Match Thread ⚽️ Blackpool vs Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 18th Mar

For the record, I thought Gyokeres was pretty uninspiring during his loan spell with us and said as much on several occasions at the time - we’ve all seen what happened since then. It’s at times like these that you have no choice but to hold your hands up and bravely double down - Gyokeres is...
