He’s a good shot stopper and a very nice man but his distribution is awful and he just wouldn’t cut it at a higher level. £2 million would make me fall off my chair.
I'll be surprised if he starts a single game for us at LWB when we've already invested a fair whack on Bidwell and DaSilva. My guess is that Sakamoto is playing at wing back mainly out of necessity so far but we intend to bring in an every-week starter at RWB.
Andy Turner says we've made a couple of bids for him. Assuming that's true then surely the intention is to play Sakamoto in attacking midfield? I don't see the sense in dropping seven-figure sums on two different RWBs.
Hope they’re not losing The Anecdote, probably the best option for a pint outside the ground. (No complaints if they get rid of all the rugby branding in there of course)
His goalscoring record in the Championship is pretty poor - he seems to be dining off a good spell in Bordeaux and that good old Netflix name recognition, but he’s never been a prolific striker at a decent level.
I have no idea what every global football association pays its women’s teams, how am I supposed to know? The percentage of WC revenues being paid to the players isn’t even the issue here.
