I think the point torchy was making was we sell our best players, we always have and always will. Granted, it's worse now then it used to be, mainly because we had more pulling power.
I'll correct you on one thing though - we didn't go into admin a year after selling Sheff. It was about 6-7...
Hah, yeah - maybe we won't hear those hilarious jokes for a bit as well about players coming here getting a pot noodle and a packet of crisps? Those really crack me up
It is a decent deal but we now have no recognised senior striker. I know there's a while till the season starts but the amount of goals we've lost from last season is a huge blow. Strikers and defenders now, that's what we need.
Don't know about the contract, but it was Peterborough so not championship, same league as us.
Seems like a decent signing. Hopefully these signings are adding more cutting edge in midfield.
I have no doubt that sooner or later this is how it will go. We will be wound up and the club will start again in the regional conference league, or something like that. Before then I'll be defecating in to some envelopes and sending it to some very deserving people
Haha, yesterday it was "we won't make any signings, don't be stupid", today it's "any signings we make will be crap"! Paraphrasing, of course but love how us sky blues think!!
Why? Of course they'll sign players. Probably not ones that you or I have heard of or want, but they'll sign players. Not quite in the same category as building a new ground is it.
Nahhh, I think you'll be fine! Looks fine to me, most football shirts look a bit weak along the seams now I think but most stand up to it. Then again, if you get one and it does rip, don't bill me!
