Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

Because CCC could use any price as an ultimatum, lets say they get a independent valuation and it comes back at £50,000,000 (For arguements sake) CCC could say to SISU, this is the price we are willing to sell either meet it or build your own stadium.

Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

That's the one Torch, I must have missed it while crying in a corner, there also seems to be one from Get Cov Back To The Ricoh: We welcome the club’s statement which appears to clarify its position over any Ricoh return.Ann Lucas should now say if the council is prepared to talk about stadium...

Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

Unless anyone else has any better ideas? Maybe the TRUST!! Come on people wakey wakey!!! Edit: I have just seen the Trust statement on the subject of the CCFC statement, impartial but is asking the Council to clarify, which is what I hoped for. Over to the Council.

I say we just sette this with a game of peanuts, best out of three wins, Seppala vs Lucas, whoever wins sets the price for the Ricoh.

Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

Hence why the Trust need to step in now, the Trust can say to Fisher and Ann Lucas, we can mediate a meeting between the club and the council to discuss the purchase of the freehold, at x date and x time. Get the parties talking and then drop the idea of independent valuation idea in, so that...

Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

You could flip that the other way round and say why not have a valuation on a business they haven't ruled out on selling?

Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

Something I believe hasn't been done so far Godiva. SISU mentioned the independent valuator in their statement, reading between the lines it sounds like if CCC get a price SISU maybe willing to meet it, I agree with the idea mentioned earlier in your post, I call it 'Location, Location...

Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

I agree and really something that should have been sorted from the offset, why it wasn't sorted by the past regime leaves me questioning "Why?" but there is no excuse for SISU not to have done this.

Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

Can someone from the Trust reading this page explain to me what steps they can take now to get these two parties talking, CCC and SISU have both said they're willing to talk to on another is there anything that the Trust can do to push this over the line?

Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

I wouldn't just say their own failings and mistakes but SISU have added to the shit pile that was already festering.

Fisher has also used Rotherham and Brentford as examples but should we be quick to assume these cases as well for our case? I hope we get back to the Ricoh, I might not love it as much as Highfield Road, but it's a fantastic facility and with the right momentum and atmosphere things could be...

Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

The only thing I would say on that Italia and I agree with it all and maybe my question is relevant to most people instead of just yourself, Why do people believe Tim Fisher when he said that the club had 'moved on from the Ricoh Arena' yet are happy not to believe him and dismiss his comments...

Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

I wouldn't disagree reading any of that and maybe I did assume you pointed out the standing point of value and purchase point because I assumed that you would lean in favour against SISU, which was wrong. I agree strongly with the second statement in your last paragraph, 'we all want the same...

Coventry City owners invite council to talks over Sky Blues returning to Ricoh Arena

I disagree with that Astute if one side has 'a price in mind and nothing else will do' then why say this in this in their statement "Cllr Lucas has not so far confirmed that she will discuss a sale and does not appear to have commissioned an independent valuation to get the ball rolling". My...
