My point is nearly all councils do it, that is why we have so many empty shops in our town centres just look around you it's not hard. In Coventry the majority of the shops that are empty are owned by private companies who charge higher rents. So what does this prove that CCC are 100% to blame...

Don't think they deserve any credit only doing what is expected of them and until they return to cov(if) and start being honest with the fans then they may get the credit they desire.
