Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Here’s your quote: As for the Netherlands, I certainly find the unabashed Islamophobia of Wilder’s policies galling to say the least. Do you?

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I find your certainty quite surprising given that you’ve previously suggested that actual terrorists could be viable candidates to lead one of the top two parties. When a tiny minority of oddball primary voters are given the right to pick party leaders (or in the last two cases, the Prime...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

If one of the two major parties is hijacked by a far-right or far-left insurgency who can capitalise on an unpopular incumbent or political rival at the right time then it can easily happen. Just look at the US.

    Euro qualifiers 2024

Yeah I really don’t get the campaign for Trent in midfield. Personally I think Rice-Phillips-Bellingham is a great midfield trio which offers us the defensive balance and the energy we need to let our front three do its thing.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I think it’s spectacularly naive to assume that there’s some kind of inherent ‘Britishness’ that would stop us going down a similar road.

Wilders has also called for a referendum on leaving the EU. Politicians with a desire to drive out certain ethnic groups from their society certainly see the EU as an obstacle to their goals at the moment. Pretty horrifying that countries in Europe are openly embracing them.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

“Far more concerning” than the largest party in an EU country vowing to straight up ban a religion from operating? It sounds to me like the train has left the station. I wonder if we will see any calls for anti-Islamophobia marches today.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Feels like the sudden concern about anti-semitism and protection for religious freedom on the rightward fringes of European politics is somewhat undermined when a party that wants to straight up ban Islam wins an election. I find it more chilling than interesting, personally.

Not necessarily no, which is probably why we don’t play that way very often now. The results when we did play that way were pretty good though.

How are people getting to Millwall

Meeting at London Bridge, will either set off on the Bermondsey Beer Mile or hang around London Bridge depending on the appetite to watch the early kickoff. Hoping for the former tbh.

Rice is a great player but unfortunately England’s CBs need more protection than just him on his own. England’s results have improved accordingly while playing with two holding midfielders.

    Israel - Palestinian Conflict

I think the campaigners were also quite keen to prevent 12,000 people from being killed but I’m glad you think it’s been so effective.

Inflatables and other strange item's at games

There doesn’t seem to be any evidence online of the fez craze after we bought Hadji and Chippo, but I seem to remember loads of people wearing them in the West Terrace.

    Euro qualifiers 2024

Well I suppose what I’m saying is that it’s definitely a lot easier to be an expressive, attacking team if your midfield is anchored by Schweinsteiger or Busquets - when it’s anchored by Declan Rice and Kalvin Phillips, not so much. Hummels-Boateng or Ramos-Puyol is a good defensive foundation...

    Euro qualifiers 2024

Everyone loves to bang on about Maguire, but I think his regular presence in the England side for the past seven years is a symptom rather than a cause of England’s conservative style. For all our attacking assets (and it’s a literal plethora of them) we haven’t had a standout central midfield...

He still had the confidence of all the players, the FA, and the media. Plus, England is apparently terrible at producing good managers and there is still no obvious successor. Not surprised at all he stayed. If we don’t win the Euros next year then it’s clearly a case of what could have been...
