Not sure I’d want to move on if I was Tavares.

I’ve also stopped using it recently, the place is a madhouse. Let’s be honest, he doesn’t really need defending, his reputation with the fans is typically good, and his moping today is almost certainly to do with playing time rather than online trolls.

    Kyle Mcfadzean

With all due respect to McFadzean, who’s been superb for us throughout, in hindsight we would have been in a much better position today if we’d let him go after the playoff final.

    Matty Godden

Don’t think that’s indicative of much more than a few Twitter cranks tbh. He still posts regularly on Instagram etc, has never alluded to any beef with fans. He strikes me as (quite rightly) being one of the more popular members of the squad all in all.

    Left back needed

Don’t see why Dasilva can’t be a serviceable option at LB, where he’s played for most of his career. We have plenty other positions with less depth.

Is he getting more online stick than any other player in a similarly poor run of form? On match days I think he’s one of the more popular players in terms of fans singing his name etc.

Match Thread Coventry City v Oxford United - FA CUP 3RD ROUND - 6th January 12:30

Hope Robins isn’t planning on complaining about fixture buildup and player fatigue later in the season with this lineup today!

Match Thread Coventry City v Oxford United - FA CUP 3RD ROUND - 6th January 12:30

I think on a net basis there was pretty much no targeting of Tavares. Relative to his actual output he might be one of the most popular young players we’ve ever had.

The Tavares-mania of 2022 was undoubtedly hilarious for all involved, something for everyone there.

    Millwall Game Moved

Unfortunately there are plenty of fans who have to give up more than disrupted swimming lessons to deal with the schedule changes. There will come a point where any fan could decide it’s no longer worth it, and it will be up to the club to decide if it’s worth mitigating that.

    Millwall Game Moved

The club could also offer some kind of flexibility for ST holders - the ability to trade in tickets, or offer weekend-only ticket packages etc It probably wouldn’t make the club any money, so I don’t think they’re likely to do it, but you can’t just throw your hands up and say there’s nothing...

We could bid £30 million for him but presumably they’d just hold out for us to bid even more next season?

    January transfers around the league

A 5:30 YouTube highlights video has surely got to be the fastest “happy to be proved wrong” in forum history?

Interview with Doug King coming up on Talk Sport this morning

I mean that it’s generally a good sign when you don’t need the owner to be weighing in on various off-the-pitch issues and all the focus is on the players instead.

Interview with Doug King coming up on Talk Sport this morning

I was thinking the other day that we’ve heard very little from Doug recently (a good thing, generally)
