Kevin Phillips - Lesson to be learned?

Phillips, who started his career at Watford, said that the booing of the Watford fans as he went to take the penalty yesterday, spurred him on. Now when ex players leave usually and come back for an opposing team they do get a bit of stick, but usually that is only reserved for those who left...

    second bid for city

Hmm, amazing Mr. Fisher isn't it, that all these people are wanting to bid for CCFC Ltd, which in your own words is totally worthless.

    Coventry United FC

But how does this stop anyone supporting the Sky Blues? You still support the Sky Blues, but as you won't attend any of the 'home' games you simply go and watch local football instead, and only do so until the Sky Blues return to Coventry. It's not an either or question. If I went I would go to...

Nope. No-one's saying that ... are they? :thinking about: Just think people are saying they may go and watch them while City play away in Walsall for the next 3 years.

The explanation, though valid, still isn't an argument really is it. To 'unite' the fans. Do they not think everyone else who is 'United' originally were called that for the same sort of reasons. Hardly unique. ;) It is a rubbish name it has to be said. One that lacks imagination and spark...

Fisher Plans To Move Jimmy Hill Statue

I've said before, I love the Ricoh. The only thing that makes it a bit shit is the low crowds and an underperforming football team. The Ricoh is only shit because of the team, nowt else. Everyone who visits it says what a great ground it is. A good team will result in a fantastic stadium.

Fisher Plans To Move Jimmy Hill Statue

If CCFC do come back to Coventry then the statue has to be at the new ground doesn't it? Sent from my KIS using Tapatalk 2

Well the fact that pretty much everyone to a man thinks the name is wrong should surely hold some credence. If names don't matter every single business in the UK could just call themselves anything they want. Fact is, new businesses think long and hard about their business name and make it is...

Which is a fair point. Go for red, green and black and a name change and you can count me in. Sent from my KIS using Tapatalk 2

    Coventry United FC

Yep. If you are going to come up with a brand new club why go for the most derivitive of names? Doesn't make sense to me and seems like no-one has given it any thought whatsoever. Sent from my KIS using Tapatalk 2
