We can't afford to be a Championship club?

I watched the iplayer program. Right at the end they go into some of the specifics of the deal. Whilst the rent is allegedly 2.5m, it includes a bunch of costs that most other clubs have to pay on top of rent, effectively making it peppercorn. If you take into account they are probably not...

We can't afford to be a Championship club?

Rather than randomly fining teams that can afford it obscene amounts of money I think that exceeding certain limits should come with the cost of having to compensate the other teams in the league an appropriate amount that is enough to make you think twice before doing it... that way the Man...

    Pennington availability increasing?

Rickets can play anywhere in the back 4 if needed. I certainly wouldn't be upset if he came back, but similarly I would much rather have a striker...

We can't afford to be a Championship club?

All players go up for sale. All assets go up for sale. Commercial rights go up for sale. If shortfall... does the remaining company shell (i.e. the "name", the golden share etc) have any value. Basically the same as if Sisu decide to stop playing the game... If somehow we fluked back to...

    SCG Meeting

Exactly. They had a captive audience with the £249 offer - to not have a "scheme" in place to account for the lack of CCL that they knew well in advance that they would not have is a little crazy... but hey, nothing new.

    Wage Budget

On the one hand, yes it is easier. I'd rather pick up the points from the teams above as it is also points that they don't have. All of a sudden instead of 6 wins off the top you are perhaps 5 due to the 6-pointers.

If I were in charge of SISU's PR...

You could create a standalone sleeve that goes over the original game. No loss of resale value then :)

If I were in charge of SISU's PR...

For me I think it is more about momentum. How many teams do you see winning League 1 and then carry on that form into the next year. CCFC at the moment have a culture of losing... more than anything we need to break that culture. Look at Burnley - did they even have a top 6 Championship budget?!

If I were in charge of SISU's PR...

FWIW equity injections can be issued as shares. For a club like CCFC this might as well be non-returnable as we struggle to wash our face. FFP rules allow this sort of investment as there is no obligation on the club to pay dividends and clearly that isn't a loan. Anyway, if I were the club...

Fk me they are starting to sounds like they actually care!

    Collecting Season Tickets?

FFS why didn't they just round everything up to nearest £1 and cover the postage... £250, delivered, job done. Why do we always make things that other clubs take for granted so complicated!

    Wasps CCFC Relationship

My goodness. They certainly cannot liquidate ACL. The lease is with ACL, the bonds are attached to ACL. A default on ACL for Wasps would be extremely messy indeed. Also if ACL fails the lease reverts back to the original term rather than the 250yrs the council increased it to.

In my eyes no it is not worth 48m which is why I believe those investing in the bonds are taking a bit of a risk... but that's my own opinion. I think the value is added by Wasps (and CCFC), but if Wasps fail then clearly the underlying value is only the ~19/20m they paid...

    Wasps CCFC Relationship

Good point Dave. This might cover them against legal action, but I suspect if the loan is not deemed as being at commercial terms might not be covered? Otherwise the end result is the same and then the loan still wouldn't be at commercial rates.... head is spinning :)

The bond issue had a valuation of 48m I believe. With this sort of thing you cannot use spin and projections... although I agree that there has been a bit of that in the CET for eg the 195m catering turnover debacle...
