Only one thing is stopping us playing at the Ricoh - Joy Seppala

I remember a conversation between myself and Noggin on this forum about three months ago in which we both agreed that one of the simplest ways for CCFC to return to Ricoh is for the Club to purchase ACL from the shares owned by AEHT and Cov Council. Circa £17,000,000 outlet for a Stadium that...

Only one thing is stopping us playing at the Ricoh - Joy Seppala

Haha!! The Mrs is shopping and I would rather speak to you lot on here then being dragged around 30 shops in Cov City Centre.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So for instance if that was a viable option would buying the two 50% shares of ACL be viable for the Club? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Only one thing is stopping us playing at the Ricoh - Joy Seppala

This is it in a nutshell, we all want CCFC back at the Ricoh and it's undeniable that CCFC being back at the Ricoh now would be more than 100x beneficial to the Club than being at Sixfields, however CCFC needs to purchase the 50% of ACL back from the Higgs when moving back to the Ricoh as this...

Only one thing is stopping us playing at the Ricoh - Joy Seppala

But that's exactly the point for most other Football Clubs this revenue is normal and apart of their financing for us - due to Mike McGinnity - it must be purchased and considered as an important asset. It shouldn't be worth building a new ground over Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Only one thing is stopping us playing at the Ricoh - Joy Seppala

I think people do, but deem it to be insignificant to the main point which is returning to the Ricoh, however my argument is that a return to the Ricoh must also see the Club benefit from these revenues, because as you have pointed out BA the figure that we are looking could be very beneficial...

Only one thing is stopping us playing at the Ricoh - Joy Seppala

I appreciate everyone's points on the matter, but I still think it's wrong that the Club should come back to the Ricoh yet not explore the similarities in revenue that to other Clubs are the norm. Anyhow I am off out for a Carvery and a spot of shopping with the Mrs, Cheerio all! Sent from...

Only one thing is stopping us playing at the Ricoh - Joy Seppala

I appreciate that, but we all want CCFC to be the best if can be, so again why should it not benefit from revenue it generates? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Only one thing is stopping us playing at the Ricoh - Joy Seppala

It's not being conned Michael, when the Ricoh was built it was built on the premiss that CCFC would benefit from the Arena financially, so when it comes to the argument of CCFC benefitting from a normal, standard revenue stream that any Club should, it shouldn't be allowed without playing at the...

Only one thing is stopping us playing at the Ricoh - Joy Seppala

    1. I agree (see above post, response to MMM) 2. It has been about this, it's been said by the Club since the beginning of this, but personal opinions believe the motive has been shifted to distress ACL, not an argument I wish to have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

But it is to do with revenues, it's a CCFC generated revenue that the Club feels it should benefit from, a thought I completely agree with. The Club could return to the Ricoh under the new terms, but other than the rent changing, what else has changed from the old terms? Sent from my iPhone...

Only one thing is stopping us playing at the Ricoh - Joy Seppala

I agree that even if you take away the Matchday Revenues it still looks a better prospect than Sixfields, however CCFC needs to benefiting from all the revenue that it generates and straight away would put the Club on a good footing. Like I said they would have to negotiate for this, it just...

CCFC still need to be profiting from the Matchday Revenues, something they need to negotiate with ACL, maybe you could look into that Michael? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Okay then Astute let's play a game, tell me out the five which Clubs are bigger than the teams I have paired them with: Manchester City - Manchester United Nottingham Forest - QPR Derby - Wolves Portsmouth - Bristol City Sheffield United - Rotherham Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Bournemouth - your having a laugh

I don't know if I ever would consider them being a bigger Club than us, they are a well run Club and have benefitted from that, but Coventry City is a bigger Club and brand then AFC Bournemouth.

    Very confused

I spoke about this earlier, a couple of decent signings and a return to the Ricoh and the optimism would be there from the fans to have a real good go, if only the owners could see that..

Bournemouth - your having a laugh

Ha! I can't see that happening, our season will be defined on what players we bring in before the season begins.

Bournemouth - your having a laugh

It's not living in the past at all, as I said earlier those slating that we should be angry that we sold our best player to Bournemouth is wrong, but we are a bigger Club still than Bournemouth, you can't base a bigger Club on league position, as for instance would you suggest Portsmouth are a...

Bournemouth - your having a laugh

Traditionally we have had better home gates, a more successful history, the brand of Coventry City is bigger than AFC Bournemouth. Yes it's very easy to look at current Club positions and try to establish who the bigger Club is, but it doesn't change over night. Bournemouth are well run Club...
