Just watched it back - that’s not what happened. This is where Latibeaudiere stops his run. Dovin could and should have claimed the ball at this point but didn’t. He had a great game in the second half but this was a huge cock-up on his part.
The ball was literally in Dovin’s hands. The communication from both players was poor, but it needn’t have been fatal if Dovin had just held onto the ball like he’s supposed to.
The ball had already rolled into Dovin’s arms before bobbling back out again - it was a horrible mistake from Dovin, arguably the most egregious GK error of the season so far.
I think almost everyone I know is like this. And I say that as someone who’s probably more politically engaged than average. Just curious what ‘giving up on politicians’ actually means in this context.
Similar to the Plymouth game, not sure how much you can take away from that when the gap in quality is so clear.
Credit at least to Simms and Dovin for each playing well in the second half after their howlers in the first.
