    Trouble after the game

Sounds like this guy needs a new dealer

    Referee

The head loss that Jay DaSilva inspires in people may be the most standout feature of his game.

    Frank: Dion Dublin Interview

Good watch this - the way Lampard talks about the application and humility of the players makes all the talk of the squad being full of wronguns look very silly now.

    Match Thread Home game atmosphere

Did the same yesterday because the weather was so beautiful - just remarkable how different the atmosphere outside the ground is now. They’ve done a great job with it. I think the euphoria of being able to watch football (or just be outside!) in the sunshine without wearing a coat or jacket...

    Death List 2025

The dead dog was in a crate, so presumably there wasn’t anyone to let it out, whereas the other dogs could forage for food. Horrendous and bizarre story all round really. It really is awful that anyone that old and vulnerable could be left alone for such a long time, let alone someone with such...

    Ellis simms

The team is clearly not wanting for goals. With the rate that our wingers and midfielders are scoring I would be surprised if this was by accident rather than design. I’d love to see Simms scoring every week but if he’s not the focal point of the attack then that’s fine too.

Best TV shows or movies you can recommend

I Saw The TV Glow didn’t quite land for me. I appreciated the Lynch references but the weirdness felt a bit forced to me. Supposedly it was a transgender allegory which clearly I totally missed. Anora was good fun but I wouldn’t recommend watching it on a plane like I did.

    Ellis simms

Sure, but doesn’t everyone to some extent? Why single out Simms for playing in what has been a pretty thankless role in this formation? You could criticise anyone in our squad for not playing at Gyokeres-levels.

    Ellis simms

Well here’s how he stacks up against them: Not exactly a Gyokeres-style cheat code player for sure. But in terms of the things being asked/expected of him in this lone striker role - winning balls in the air, taking chances and driving forward with the ball - he’s at least above average and...

So are we comparing him to other number 9s or not?

    Ellis simms

‘Ellis Simms isn’t as good as European football’s most coveted and prolific striker OR the Championship’s most in-form striker’ - useless fucking donkey.

    Ellis simms

Using Gyokeres as a benchmark for Simms’ performance levels strikes me as somewhat unfair.

Are we going to "shit" our way up!?

We’ve also conceded 12 in our last 7!

Are we going to "shit" our way up!?

Why anyone would watch the calibre of Championship refs and think “These people should get more authority to routinely stop the game and dwell on key decisions” is completely beyond me.

Neither Simms nor Wright had anything going on up front today. Seems to be a recurring theme with this formation.

Actually yeah tbf I’d forgotten about that one excellent long pass out under pressure in the first half My overall view on Dovin is that he’s not quite the messiah that everyone seems to think he is but he’s still been a very good signing (despite my indifference towards keepers in general)
