King set to join city today!

I wouldn't quite go as far you, La La La, but it's about bloody time! Will certainly put needed pressure on Juke, Plattini and Freddy to perform well when they get the chance :)

Matchday #5 - Coventry vs Leicester

I suppose I would have felt better about it had Leicester not scored! :P And to be fair, he did put the wind up their guys, which is nice to see... It's just that considering facing Leicester is our only derby game in the league this season, you'd have thought the performance wouldn't have...

Matchday #5 - Coventry vs Leicester

Well, there's not too much I can add to what's already been said, but we were dire today, absolutely dire! We really needed Freddie and Martin out there today, as Lukas (Leaping Lukas?) was anonymous and Jordan Clarke was clearly the weak link in the defence today (to be fair, not the boy's...

    westwood?

This would be awesome, but probably unlikely :(

    Iain Turner wants City stay

I think he would be a quality No. 2 to really challenge Kieren for the goalkeeper's jersey in a way he hasn't been since joining Cov, or a decent No 1. Although I have one question: what happened to Danny Ireland? Is he still at Cov- he's certainly listed as our no. 13 in the last two match...

    westwood?

Nah, I read during the January transfer window that Harry Redknapp had his eyes on three Championship keepers: Peterborough's goalie (I forget his name), Scott Loach and Westy. It makes sense in a way, as I can't see Arsene Wenger spending money on an untried keeper to head up one of the top...

Marlon King : I would love to join Coventry City

Well, for a start, Jack Wilshere was cleared of any charges and released. Secondly, I read on the BBC report a police quote which suggested Wilshere was a "peacemaker" who witnessed the event in question. So he's not comparable to Marlon King...just yet :P

    westwood?

Maybe he's holding out for a move before the window shuts?

Linnell - "King signs for Coventry"

Yeah, but that hasn't gone to trial yet, so we won't know for a good while whether Benzema or Ribery will serve a prison sentence (it's not looking good for them though...), or whatever. Mind you, Benzema wasn't in the French WC squad, and Ribery's been told by his club that he's gotta perform...

    Clingan out?

Perhaps we're worrying too much, seeing as they're looking to sign another midfielder?

Richard Wood to return to Sheffield?

I think Wood came through Wednesday's academy system, became club captain, but he fell out with then-Wednesday manager Brian Laws, and the damage was never repaired, esp. as about 4,000 Wednesday fans came to the Ricoh in March with seemingly one object in mind: to boo the living crap out of...

    Fifa 11

Ah, I'd disagree, 2008 was pretty good, fun to play. Personally, I can never get to grips with FIFA because of the camera angles- or that, and I usually play against someone who practises on it a lot. But yeah, I'm hoping this year'll be different (on FIFA 10, I've lost to computer controlled...

    Clingan out?

Naturally, what with my username and all, I don't want to see Clingan leave (Nick, if this does happen, can you change usernames? :P)... Seriously, though, I think the Coventry squad would be poorer if we sold Sammy- he's the best free kick specialist at the club, he's one of the more creative...

    Wenger hails England bid

I think England should be the front-runners, mainly because we've got the infrastructure in place and there's generally very few problems to tackle (unlike the Olympics, I must say). Russia would have to improve their infrastructure generally (on a huge scale), and foot the entire bill...

Marlon King : I would love to join Coventry City

I'm really cynical about signing Marlon King, mainly because of his past criminal record, the fact he's 30 years old and coming off a good period out of the game, so may well be lacking fitness and the idea that we're going to pay him £10,000 a week... I mean, we let Clinton Morrison go because...

    Adam Le Fondre

Is O'Donovan injured, perhaps? Le Fondre sounds like a good squad player, to be broken into Championship level football slowly- it would give us plenty of options up front, which is all good.

It looks like we were right.

I'm a plonker, put my rant in the wrong thread LOL!

    Untrue Fans.

Yeah, I agree that doing very well during the course of the season will encourage people to come to the Ricoh, but we have to keep the momentum going- after the Cardiff game, and subsequent stuttering results, people decided to stay away once again. I have one other theory: notice how many West...

    Coventry City are "Bandits"

I'm going to play Devil's Advocate here: As a Non-League club, Wrexham are no doubt financially strained- perhaps they need the money immediately to pay off current debts...plus, if- hopefully not- Wrexham go out of business between now and the payment of the last instalment for Will Roberts...

    Coventry vs Portsmouth

Yeah, very promising performance, and it's great to see Super Fred leading the line- he worked really hard and deserved both goals, esp. the second, which was a beeeeaaautty! :P I was also really impressed by Nathan Cameron- he didn't put a foot wrong in defence. Overall, though, it was a v...
