    New Chief Business Officer

Seems like Taylor has taken another job, according to his LinkedIn page https://uk.linkedin.com/in/john-taylor-024b022a

    Elon Musk

He sounds like a deeply odd man with a drug problem and a borderline disturbing attitude towards women https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/us/elon-musk-drugs-children-trump.html

    Your personal City cult hero

Loved Eoin Jess as a kid for some reason, even though I’m almost certain he was rubbish. Roland Nilsson probably too good to be a cult hero. I was totally ready to be in love with the idea of Kevin Thornton.

    New Chief Business Officer

Be interesting to see what happens with Taylor - not aware of any great drama behind the scenes, but his next move may give a hint as to whether he’s chosen to leave us, or whether Doug has replaced him.

    Womens football

Sounds like a huge investment - was it not tenable for the men’s team to stay there then? Or is the modernisation contingent on bringing down the capacity?

    Liverpool Car Incident

I understand the point, I just don’t think it’s as bad as racism.

    Liverpool Car Incident

It’s a discussion forum. I think it’s perfectly reasonable for people to talk about things like this without it just being all ‘thoughts and prayers’. To draw an equivalence between people who don’t do that, and out-and-out racists, is quite odd imo.

    Liverpool Car Incident

I’m not sure how much this had to do with it, but if you seriously believe the papers weren’t actively trying to source other useable photos of the guy, or were only using the school photo because they wanted to portray him as an innocent kid then you need to lay off the conspiracy theories.

    Liverpool Car Incident

I don’t see any world where he gets a whole life tariff. Assuming they don’t uncover some evidence that this was all premeditated - and it certainly doesn’t seem that way so far.

    Liverpool Car Incident

The suggestion that the media was rushing to portray the Southport killer in a more favourable light - as if their readers were desperate for more sympathetic coverage of a deranged child murderer - always made zero sense.

    Liverpool Car Incident

Yes, it’s lucky there wasn’t any discussion in the Southport thread that tried to score points or didn’t centre the victims. I’m sure you would have pointed it out if there was.

    Liverpool Car Incident

Somehow I think the people of Liverpool will soldier on.

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Hunter Biden and Michelle Obama were in the closet making babies and I saw one of the babies and the baby looked at me

    Viktor Moving on

As I’ve learned a couple of times, write off Vik at your peril. But then again he won’t be playing most away games at glorified leisure centres every other week in the PL…

    Liverpool Car Incident

I don’t think you need to pretend the innocent people are paying much attention to this thread, or that the people mocking the racist weirdos are at all downplaying what they’ve been through.

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

You have to admit that it’s very, very funny that @The Philosopher and other big brains are heralding the genius of Brexit in ensuring our freedom from Trump’s tariffs, and for Starmer to go ahead and lock in new trade terms, only for an American court to go ahead and declare the whole tariff...

Was that the year where we didn’t score a single goal in pre-season or something weird like that? This forum was predicting disaster but we ended up fine.
