Wasn’t this a very early kick-off? I was 9 and hadn’t badgered my Dad enough into taking me regularly yet. Although I did get him to drive me round the ground whilst the game was going on
Two horrible, unsexy, grimy clubs with terrible kits.
Preference is for Sheffield: Home of The Human League, WARP records, Gatecrasher and birthplace of Michael Palin.
It will be one of those goals I’ll remember in eternity, due to the odd circumstances I found myself watching it - alone (unsurprisingly) in a hotel bar in Liverpool.
I’d like it if they introduced an interest-free monthly payment option - Hull City do one (close to me) and it’s popular with folks who can’t afford to shell out everything upfront/ don’t have access to an interest-free credit card.
I’ve resigned myself to a disappointing evening. If Sunderland go through, I really hope they don’t beat Sheff Utd…I really want to attend both games against them next season with a “Get The Rave On” t-shirt*
*I won’t do this
Just been for a very sweaty run around central London with my City top on.
If that doesn’t inspire Ellis Simms to start scoring again, then I don’t know what will.
Obviously, he’s a really good player…but it’s not like he’s bestriding the league like a colossus. I don’t miss his 22 yellow and obligatory 3 red cards a season.
Would I have him back? Yes.
The lead up to that Rotherham game gave me a few sleepless nights. Was on my mind constantly that we’d slip up and go back now again. Can remember Ostigard’s shithouse celebration vividly 😂
