It’s all relative though. This season’s highs still outweigh the lows for me. We still have 15 games to go. Whilst it can still downhill even more, there’s every chance it can improve again.

ClubCall used to bait you with headlines like "City in for Liverpool ace" and it turning out to be Mike Marsh. I lived with a Blues fan at Uni and the Birmingham ClubCall under Barry Fry's tenure would say stuff like "13in, 7 out - phone for details"

Who remembers the good old days of relying on ClubCall for transfer rumours? And then waiting for Ceefax to confirm transfers?

I think joining the Villa has cast a shadow on Hadji for me. Plus he did go missing a few times during the two seasons he was with us. Keane was absurdly talented too, but the one season he was with us we didn’t win away. Whelan was a bit of flawed genius, which I’m always drawn to.
