I don’t think there’s any correlation between pre-season form and regular form really. As long as the players show up match fit on day 1 of the season and are well drilled in whatever tactic we’re playing then it’s been productive.

For me, the difference is that while the strikers unit still have their best player to come back from injury, the defensive unit is already at full strength, and may in fact get weakened before the season starts. That’s a worry for me.
