Not so sure we should start picking players for their like-ability factor though. We are already struggling to field an 11 without deciding if we should only pick people we like or not.

Indeed. Not something I have seen anyone else pick up on yet to be honest. Players much more likely to play and be picked when not fully fit because we need the bodies.

But even with saying that we still have Cranie, Cameron, Keogh. That's 3 plus one of either Wood or McPake. We have too many centre backs and not enough cover in midfield and up front. It really is a no brainer I'm afraid.

7 for the ref? If he had booked Bamba that time instead of letting him rant in his face for well over a minute then he would have continued to earn the respect of the players and maintained order. Never seen such an obvious booking for dissent. And not just dissent, but prolonged, over the top...

if we were to sell him for 2 million then Sisu could take 1.5 million to help ease the financial situation and the 500 grand could be used to bring in a striker. The bottom line is we have SIX centre backs and need the money.

Think someone pointed out before that Sheff is a late starter every season. Can only assume that he doesn't fulfill his Summer programme and routine and comes back unfit and unready. To me he simply looked off the pace and more worryingly, disinterested.

Who has said he is that promising? Fact is, we can't afford to shop around for someone who is that promising! Apparently Leshtur, Celtic, ourselves and Sheff Weds are interested. If it were only ourselves and League 1 clubs interested I could kind of see your point.
