I think Dovin needs both patience and game time to properly recover and I don’t think that being a backup keeper in the PL is going to give him either. I would send him to a Championship team for the year next season and see where he’s at, he’s played fewer than 30 games in this country.

If we get promoted then we’ll surely be signing him for a chunky fee. He has a few things to improve on for sure, but has the skill set we need from a keeper and will only improve over time. I would not be surprised to see Dovin go out on loan next season.

Yeah I’ve always enjoyed watching Saito but we should only be signing players with PL potential now. He’s another one who only just signed for their current club too!

I personally have my doubts that people want to see this kind of stuff (as we’ve seen in the US) in this country.

I just feel like this is our year. The underlying stats don’t suggest that we are on an insanely lucky or over-achieving run. This is just who we are. We have key players still to come back, funds available in January and even a sustained bad run wouldn’t knock us out of contention.
