Yep, my fear too. Not usually a very wise move at all to throw a kid into a losing team on a bad run, but maybe he is that good that it just won't faze him anyway.

That team there looks highly unlikely to keep a clean sheet I would have thought.

    Team for Oldham?

Don't think Miller up top and Maddison behind is risky. It's the midfield of O'Brien, Fleck and Barton that is the big gamble and worries me.

    Team for Oldham?

Does worry greatly about that midfield 3. Looks incredibly lightweight and lacks any degree of strength or muscle, but am happy Maddison is in. Maybe he might play in the hole just behind Miller.

Tom Bates? Mark Noon? Avun Jephcott? Ben Mackey? Eddie Standford? Barry Quinn? David Pipe? Shudder. :(

    It's all a blame game.

Agree with that. All we needed to do that day was avoid defeat. The game was on tv and we were truly dire, simply not turning up and looking anything but motivated.

I was chuffed when we got him too, but he was pretty well shot as a footballer as it turned out.

We're so desperate we'd all get behind a unholy trinity of Abu Qatada, Rupert Murdoch and Vernon Kay, to be honest.

But isn't Johnson supposed to be the decent centre back and Tudgay the proven striker? Let's face it, when Tudgay came in we were all quite pleased weren't we? I know I was. Watching him though, he now looks shot to me. A player on a very steep decline, at the end of his career. Think we must...

No, like picking Willis, Phillips, Maddison, Haynes, George Thomas, Daniels and Finch.

    Oscar P gets 5 years!

Yep. Misleading OP title. Oscar P gets 8-10 months. Am now thinking of moving to South Africa just so I can kill my wife.

Think key tonight is that if there are any goals in the game, we have to score first. We go a goal down and I think that will be it for us. We don't create enough chances in games.

    The calander year under SP

And just how many previous managers have we moaned about for not giving our own kids a chance? We are always crying out for our academy lads to be given a go, but we have had so many managers who have been most reluctant to blood them. In Pressley we have a manager who has given so many young...

What's the point of doing a calendar year, when football is statisctically calculated by season? Why not try tax year or by birthday?
