By xmas we could be 10 points from Safety

By xmas we could be 10 points from Safety

As I've said before, this Cody McDonald has to be a success. If not, we will possibly be all but down by Christmas.

By xmas we could be 10 points from Safety

Think it is all down to the size of the squad though, Smiley. Hate to say it, but if Juke gets injured at all we are going to really, really struggle. The reason I believe most of us don't think things will get better is because we are already playing kids and have no cover in key areas, i.e...

By xmas we could be 10 points from Safety

Sorry, Smiley, but you are missing the point entirely. Forest have a much, much bigger squad than us. Have been banging on about this until I am blue in the face. Forest get injuries they have a big enough squad to bring adequate replacements in. We lose Clingan or Juke or Cranie and Keogh and...

By xmas we could be 10 points from Safety

Wish I had your optimism too. Why will Forest continue to struggle may i ask? They have some very good players. While Brighton may not get within the top 6, they should at least be able to hold their own this season. Peterborough and Doncaster, yes I agree, think they may well continue to...

By xmas we could be 10 points from Safety

Well, I'm not going to predict individual results of all those games because football is never so simplistic as that. But hand on heart I can only see us winning 3 of those matches tops. Surely the most optimistic of us can't see us doing much more than that. Nott'm Forest Leeds Burnley...

    Thorn Out

They get the ball to the strikers alright, it's just that there is no-one going up to support them and there is a block area of about 20 yards of emptiness between the midfield and the front two.

Anyone still think SISU are our answer?

They may want their money back, but that's not going to happen is it. It's all a Catch 22. They want a return on their investment, they are not going to get it. Hoffman et al want to pay peanuts for the club and the debt and Sisu aren't going to let that happen either. The conclusion is either...

    Thoughts on Barnsley

Think you have been very selective in your choice of post reading on here. Don't know why. You read the majority of posts and you will find that we don't consider ourselves to be Big Time Charlies, or a bigger club than Barnsley. Most of us know we are a very poor side. I think we are very...

    New Bid!!!

Sorry, Tommy, but you are saying that fans didn't want to see Coventry play but did want to see Coventry play! See what you mean, but at the same time if that game had been against a top Championship side instead of Chelsea the demand would have probably been almost as great.

    From another thread

How would it work? Well, what we would be looking for is the truth. Can they handle it?

Poll....where will we finish this season

Surely that's very bad isn't it! Over 25% of people on here are suffering from delusional tendencies.

    Ripping the heart out

This is where it is all wrong. They shouldn't have come out and said that the budget would be the same. It is clear we have been losing money and the financial plight has been getting worse. Why didn't they just tell the truth and say that they couldn't guarantee the leaving players' wages could...

    Thorn Out

Think any City manager would be a beaten man. He must have been screaming to the board until he is blue in the face that he needs new players in desperately. Not so much a dead man walking as a sitting duck.

So Forest at home next...this could be good!

Agree. McLaren will be gone before we play them. We will then face a very much rejuvenated Forest side. I think the best we will get will be a draw from the game. Forest are a good side. Just have a clown in charge at the mo.

    Thoughts on Barnsley

Very good post. At the end of the day Thorn remains a very inexperienced manager. He will make mistakes. How many mistakes we are happy to accept from him is still open to debate. Think our problems stem from a whole gamut of differing factors. 1. Squad too small. 2. Inexperienced...

A big dose of sarcasm apparently.

    Current form

Agree. Look at the games this season. How many times have individual errors or sloppiness at either end of the field cost us? Where is the ill luck? Letting in late goals has cost us, as has missing chances at the other end. That has nothing to do with luck. We simply have not been good enough...
