Can't understand, why no offer of help from elsewhere ?

I suppose that a takeover deal could be brokered along the lines of. We will wait until the end of the season to agree a price of a/ if we are in the championship and b/ if we are in league 1. In the meantime we will invest a said amount between now and the end of the season which would be...

Can't understand, why no offer of help from elsewhere ?

I do not believe that SISU are the only creditor. I bet that we owe the inland revenue, Harry Shaw, ACL to name but a few. We have had 2 recent transfer embargo's and you do not get them if the only creditor is the clubs owner.

    New Kit Design

Yes like it lots, even better than this years kit. Away kit same design in red, just like the old days.

    Just a thought

Or we could be the only club not to have a manager. Let the players pick the team and choose the tactics. More cost saving for SISU.

    Just a thought

Bobby Gould said he would work for nothing. Music to SISU ears!!!!

    SISU Choices

I would say that the $30m is what SISU have put in to the club ie player purchases/ex managers compensation/work at Ryton/payments to previous regime(Robinson) This is shown as a debt owed to them. This has not increased because SISU have stopped putting money into the club. The money from...

    New Kit

I have got the home shirt for sentimental reasons re JH era. However, how the players can play in them is beyond me because it feels really tight across the neck. I would like to see a return of the 70's egg timer strip and continue with green/black stripes for away games.

    Sacking Andy Thorn, Pointless

Strachan is remembered for getting us relegated. We played good football under him, but he too was forced to sell players against his will. Also he was forced to sign a couple of Hondurans he did not want by back hander Richardson(Allegedly) IMO opinion we could do a lot worse and he has the...

    Sacking Andy Thorn, Pointless

There are 2 scenarios in my opinion, either way, Thorn will not be manager next season. If we are taken over then my money is on Strachan to return(unfinished business) and still the only manager after leaving us to go on to better things and acheive success, apart from BG FA Cup win in 1988...

I don't understand the Thorns doing his best brigade?!

He will not walk because he has bills to pay and a responsibility to his family, like most of us.

Just wondering where this new found belief came from

Other than to say that we should have had 3 points against Blackpool and 1 point against Ipswich. With 4 more points we would be on 26 points and sniffing the backsides of Millwall and Bristol City. Thats why we should still be optimistic.

    Sacking Andy Thorn, Pointless

Do not know whether to believe there will be a takeover or not, but if there are MEANINGFUL TALKS going on at present then what you are saying makes sense.

    Sacking Andy Thorn, Pointless

If what you are saying is the only option, then we would have to appoint from within ie Rioch or Carsley as I am pretty sure Thorn would be the lowest paid manager in the Championship and SISU will not shell out on a proven manager ie Warnock or Jones. I do not believe that Thorn will step aside...

Why I think Thorn should go

I presume that Thorns salary would have increased when he became Scout and Manager. Therefore if he went back to being Scout his salary would reduce. It would not look good on his CV if he resigned or went back to his former position and why should he. It is SISU who are responsible for the mess...

    Hoffman

The transfer window is now closed so any takeover would have limited affect apart from the funds to bring in a Warnock type of manager. My guess is that any consortium will sit tight until our fete is sealed and then make a move when the value is less than SISU's current one.

Why I think Thorn should go

Thorns job is as safe as houses whilst SISU remain in charge. They do not give a flying fuck whether we stay up or get relegated and they certainly will not pay compo to another sacked manager. Neither will they pay any money to bring someone of Warnocks experience to the club. Also who in their...

Why Thorn is a good manager - Reasons Listed

Quite frankly I am pissed off with all the anti thorn talk on here. WTF can he do with both hands tied behind his back. In the circumstances he is doing pretty well. No one has thrashed us. When we lose it is usually by the odd goal. Still believe we can stay up and if we do what will be said...

    hoffman to meet CCFC board

Portsmouth facing a winding up order due to outstanding amount of 1.6m to tax office. How much money do we owe the tax office? How can we be sure that our debt is 100% due to SISU. Somehow I doubt it. Just because we have not faced a winding up order, does not mean we are in a better position...
