I used it regularly from around '97 - 2000 and the two landlords I remember were "Greengrass" and the youngish Asian chap that I've been trying to remember his name for the past day and can't. Maybe Real or Mumford (does he still post?) would remember. They used to do pound a pint on a Sunday...

I'm sure it makes the company a lot of dough though....

Of course.........but at a profit. I just fail to see with everything that has gone on how they will now make a profit out of us! Guess we'll find out sooner or later.......

It is just personally I would expect a little more evidence than the fact that they are still here and have agreed to support CCFC for x amount of years before I accepted it as sufficient that they will be true to their word. Once bitten and all that.

Surely then that was the ideal time to negotiate with the club so close to going under? It's all by the by now but, personally, I find it hard to take their statements and assurances at face value.

Before we go round in circles we all know the rent was ridiculously high but surely this should have been negotiated before they signed the contract and not when they realised we weren't going to be the cash cow they presumed we would be. My point is though you are taking their pledge at face...

They also signed a contract to pay the agreed rent at the Ricoh, which I believe is slightly more legally binding than their "promises" to fans and a Euro MP and we all know what happened there......

Seconded. Went there the other week and it was the best curry I have had in a while. £2 a pint up until 8pm Monday to Thursday as well. Also, a shout out to the Farmhouse as well that also does some very good food and the service is exceptional.

The first pub I ever got pissed in, in town. Used to be cheap beer on a Monday (before this new fangled Monday club shite) and used to go there after I picked up my giro thing that you could get at 16 if you could blag that you had been kicked out of your parental home and had no discernible...

I just had a tally up and I've only done 30 but this includes Highbury, Highfield Road and the Withdean so do old grounds also count in your total?

Not as much as I used to but now it is £1.90 a pint in there on a Saturday afternoon, all day Sunday and whenever live football is on I think I might get back to my old frequency.
